Control, Rhythm Nation, and Janet are *ALL* classic albums. The Velvet Rope might be her most revealing or personal. It’s kind of aggravating that albums get more respect when they focus on sadness, pain, and trauma.
Her best album to me is " Janet ". I feel like the velvet rope is over hyped because of the major hit " i get so lonely " ifs kinda like a nostalgic feeling yiu get when u jam this album. Not to mention its her most personal album and the experiments with blending geners. This album is kinda like michaels history album in a way.

Mariah actually says in her memoir He knew about the stunt and just acted surprised since the whole thing was planned. I think what probably happened is production planned it with her down to the strip tease and she was told he knew when he probably didn’t.
