I've had one of these . taken it off a couple of times for cleaning toilet . Had it just 2 months. the seat had gone slightly loose and the seat mechanism has now jammed and I had a lot of difficulty getting it off the Pan hinge fixings . so much so I have taken it back and exchanged it under warranty fitting the new one and in fitting the push on push off is tight. Although its new i am not sure if i will end up with the same issue .....?

SUGGESTION! Bemis Classic with Click & Clean mechanism: CHECK THE PIN LOCKS before fitting! The instructions just show 'push on to pin to click'. INFO: The 'click' mechanism isn't working on the new Classic seat bought just recently. The seat doesn't click when lowered and pushed down onto the 2 pins (with seat/ring both in upright position). If the seat is pushed down hard, there is further movement against a sprung mechanism (about 4-5mm), which I guess should engage/disengage the mechanism. But instead, it just lowers onto the pins and just lifts off again - it doesn't click at all as expected. Cannot see any other way to fit the darn thing!!? Guessing it's an assembly issue, or it's such a crap (pun!) design they left out parts for a loose fit, hoping nobody would complain!?? LOL. Either way - its a PITA! (Pun!). Going to return it (to B&Q - UK).
