I have shown this to people who don't believe he was sexy. So was Margaret Hamilton, the Wicked Witch. Watch her in The Farmer Takes a Wife. She was unconsciously sexy in it.
It is a testimony to Lewis' comic genius and ability that he is 100% believable as a drunk. Every moment in this clip is a delight and it is of little wonder that both Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel both thought him a worthy successor to their crowns.
and considering he hated drunk persons, apparently due to have seen his mum playing piano in the middle of drunkers in a bar when he was young and lonely
When I was 6 I knew that any future husband would be measured against this man. In this interview you can see the clown and all that lays behind those eyes. Charm, sex, quick wit, beautiful smile and self depreciation. Unfortunately no one came close, Jerry ruined me for mortal men.
i know this movie was a comedy, but it kind of made me sad that nobody seemed to care about this guy. His wife and best friend betray him, and his kids don't act like they miss him. The only ones that seem to give a damn at all about him are the Chilean doctors, and even that's just for medical research.
Has to be my all time favorite scene with Jerry. I saw this movie when I was 8 and I laughed so hard during this scene I peed my pants!! Explains why I am the way I am now I suppose!!
+bluecatky Most houses built before 1970 only had one bathroom, and most of us who were alive then, could relate to the overcrowding in kitchens and baths. It was part of everyday life!
On n'en fait plus maintenant de ces artistes 😢😢❤❤❤❤
Jerry's birthday is March 16th, I will most definitely celebrate this divine beings life and memory. LOVE YOU Jerry wherever you are💗

Hard to believe - but not really - this is the same guy that gave that terrible ‘Cow Town’ interview years later.
Too bad the real Jerry was an insufferable prick.
Amazing

He was so cute!!!
💕 Jerry was 32 years old here. Wow! He made his mark. He will be missed. 😂💕
@carol taylor Do you have more info about the date/moment for that interview? Who was the interviewer?
False he was 23
So funny seeing him try to walk and falling back to his seat, so funny
Look how he flirts with his eyes
I get quite quirky like that when I have had one to many
Chi by u
So sexy in this. He will be missed.
I need a man to look at me the way Jerry Lewis looks at this interviewer. ;) Just wow. What a sexy guy he was.

Un des meilleurs sketchs de l'époque repris aussi par Henry Salvador en France dans une autre variante.

In real life, a guy with a marlin sticking in his gut, if he were even conscious, would not be strong enough to jump off the operating table.
Jerry Lewis o melhor de sempre. e que bela musica!
They sure get a lot use on that set, Bewitched house, Leave it to Beaver neighborhood, Dr. Bellows house, and I'm sure there's more.
glad someone saw that too!! enjoy this film here before the Google god takes this away forever
What was the music?
Brilliant!!!

:) such a genius...I have all his flms....some scenes in some films are like the best comedy scenes ever filmed!
I am a fan too, but I must say he's is a total asshole in interviews and personally. He even said that he has a big ego.

Professor Kelp: Oh he's the greatest...
the living room has the same configureation as Bewitched, but different decor
+Douglas Chapman but its Paramount Studios and Bewitched is filmed at Columbia.
First thing I noticed too. You saved me from making a duplicate comment. :-)
Kind of sad that no one except his cheating wife and his creepy ex-best friend came to his funeral, not even his kids.
Do they not have more than one bathroom in their house?
+bluecatky not in films!....and that keeps it at a "two shot" (2 people in a shot) which is easier to film!

see you are a spoiled person ..
Por que esta assim em partes ? Queria ele inteiro assim fica difícil de assistir.
