    One of my favorite roads, we will be back this September, cabin rented right on 129 8 miles from the tail. so many awesome roads to ride that are free of a lot of people.

    The last time I did the sisters back in 2017 while riding up 335 we came across a huge Brahma bull at the side of the road ahead of us. He was huge. We stopped for a water break and waited for him to move on.

    Planning to ride a road bike from Havana to Mt Mag lodge up 309. I noticed some cycling infrastructure on overlook drive… did y’all notice any other bike lanes? Is the shoulder wide enough to accommodate for a bike? Thanks! Really glad y’all made this video of the area/ cool channel!

    Another good ride close to this area, one I consider is better than the TS route, is south on 1375 from Fredericksburg, then East on 473 from Sisterdale to Kendalia, and then north to 32 and take that to purgatory rd. Close to the Guadalupe River Run at the end.

    A piece of advice: don't ride in Corpus Christi. If you're lucky, you may find a piece of road amongst the potholes here. Some are large enough that expeditions that have gone through to explore have disappeared. 🤣 Seriously. Potholes are horrible here.

    Nice video! In less then a week I am staying less then 2 miles from where Wayah Rd starts off rt 74. Your video makes it look as though Wayah road isn't to difficult at all, but I have read online it is a real bitch on a motorcycle. What is your opinion of the roads difficulty? Again your video makes it look slightly more difficult then the Cherohala Skyway which while has a lot of elevation is what I would consider a tame road. Thank you!

    • @solivesoride29
      @solivesoride29 ปีที่แล้ว

      Difficulty is always hard to judge. What I think is easy may be difficult to others. Wayah road was our favorite ride in the Smokey Mountains. It has countless hair pin turns and is pretty narrow. We ride slow and we didn't see any traffic at all. So for us it was easy and fun. If you're a spirited rider looking to challenge yourself... It would be a hard core roller coaster. Have fun and ride safe!

    ND can be so disgusting once it warms up a bit. I have friends that live across the creek and that spot is a constant headache for them. Cool ride, though. I've done lots of backroading on and off of the route you took. Good video!

    Looks like you're doing the same thing I need to work on... letting the bike lean by shifting my weight to the opposite side of the bike far enough. When she was going through the garage her bike was barely leaning. I noticed that when he lifted his leg to help shift body weight, he wasn't getting any further over than when the leg was on the peg. Great job though. Makes me want to get out and practice more. I'm certainly no expert, just sharing what I see based on what i've learned (which admittedly isn't much so take my comments with little tiny grain of inexperienced salt. lol Good luck in SC!!!

    Bonus, since they come in two sections you can up the skill level by angling them so you have to turn in the middle.

    I took the 1 day off road training in South Carolina. I can't believe how much I learned in just that one day. Highly recommend it. I also took a 1 day on road which was also valuable. But I have ridden on road but had never ridden off road before.

    I bought a pair of these for my Continental Divide ride (2020). While these are stiff out of the box, it took NO time to get them comfortable. I had two dirt naps on the CD trip, one dirt nap left the R1200 GS on my left ankle. The boot was AWESOME......... I was completely protected. Great boot - highly recommended! Good post by you guys!!!!
