Myanmar Unspoiled
Myanmar
A land almost forgotten by time. Half a century of military junta rule has left Myanmar the least developed nation of South-East Asia. Catering an abundance of remote corners filled with over 135 ethnic groups, each vying for their own freedom financed by illegal drug trade. This, coupled with the unspoilt and immensely hospitable nature of the natives, makes Myanmar ripe for practically uncharted exploration both in an anthropological and geographical sense.
This is my journey told through it's vast untouched splendor.

Laiko ir pasaulio pamirštas kraštas. Daugiau nei pusė amžiaus karinės chuntos valdymo paliko Mijanmarą mažiausiai išsivysčiusia pietryčių azijos valstybe. Šalyje gyvena virš 135 etninių grupių, kurių kiekviena kovoja už savo laisvę ar bent jau laisvę nuo chuntos. Atoki geografija ir partizaninės pajėgos, finansuotos nelegalių narkotikų verslo, leidžia Mijanmare egzistuoti dar visiškai neištyrinėtiems ir, regis, nepaliestiems kampeliams. Tai, kartu su faktu, kad vietiniai yra neįtikėtinai svetingi ir skirtingi, padaro Mijanmarą viena patraukliausių vietų savamoksliam antropologiniam ir geografiniam tyrinėjimui.
Tai mano kelionė, papasakot per šio nepaliesto ir nesugadinto pasaulio vaizdus.

Amazing. Despite having been stationed in Okinawa briefly, and doing a lot of scuba diving in that time I never ventured to the other islands nearby. Adding a visit here to my bucket list for a diving adventure.
You should go to Hatoma-jima Island (鳩間島) for the scuba diving, a little offshore from Uehara on Iriomote Island(西表島).
