I wouldnt say minimalistic but it rans on my more than 10 yrs old laptop so I think its fine although, that laptop have a 2 core 4 threads and 8gb ram

@ which browser is best suited with your arch-hyperland configuration? I am asking because the chrome is taking systems font language, so when can I change the font for the system in your configuration? Thanks!! I like your configuration and your efforts for it

@@shubhamku044 I wouldnt say it is best suited but any electron based apps like chrome is sometimes does not play well with hyprland in general I always use firefox eversince

you can create another user and install another dots on that

nah if I make a video for each, will take longer I have atleast 30 configs and 30 styles combine that, plenty outcome

​@@Ja.KooLit Sorry, I expressed myself badly 😅 What I actually wanted to know was how did you login at 6:51, without any login button. Did you use a command of some sort? EDIT: I was asking that because I was struggling to log in. But, after further inspection of your sddm 2 github page, I discovered that my log in button was, by default, not visible. So I turned it visible and now I can log in more easily, and that's how I personally prefer. Now, may I ask you: why did you do that by default? Is this configuration more quick/efficient for login, or is it more aesthetically pleasant? Thx for the attention!

@murisco6939 2:59 normal vanilla dont have button either. But you dont need a button after typing your pw, simply press Enter or Return

its about experience I guess Been an arch user for 4 years now and more than a year hyprland user been a wm for quite sometime though so Im used to it I guess.

@Ja.KooLit makes sense. I've been using Linux on and off for 20 years but haven't dove deep enough into wm and such yet. It's definitely something I want to do, just need to make time. Also looking to get into nvim, but it's such a massive learning curve to setup as an IDE.

I Just installed openmandriva. Wanted something dnf based for my red hat sysadmin studies, but also more frequently updated and this is rolling release so that's cool.

cool. havent used Mandriva my self I use fedora but its not my daily distro re nvim, its nice but ive used with codium

@@paulofreireslaw There are several projects which make setting up NVIM as IDE a simple task. Examples NVCHAD, AstroNVIM. Another one is LUNARVIM What's nice about it, is it has its own config so you don't break your NVIM config. It uses NEOVIM as the engine. I am not a LUA programmer but these projects get you a working environment that's easy to add on to.

@@tonywalker8030 you mean like the live wallpaper? mpvpaper offers that. But it is consuming lots of resources.. on my previous test, its like 400mb atleast depending of course on the wallpaper swww also support gif but cant find a good gif wallpaper
