Some where there must be a manual for control and error codes , E - 10 error code not code for shorted wire or connection ---- my bike re- powers after 5 minutes or so indicating to me the battery is too hot : the reason I say is it corrects after a few minutes , and shuts down on hot days and when it's cooler outside mine never shuts down with e-10 code ---- so did you replace cable grouping???????? I doubt it's a shorted wire makes no sense from my point
I am having similar issues my controller won’t let me into the programming screen when I push both of them and down arrows the little keypad whatever it is. Also my unit did not come with a throttle
Hey bud I’m not sure if you fixed it but you can go to the site and get the same wire again and replug everything I love Ebikeling I built a 1200w fat tire beast I believe they do sell that wire you need but since it came like that they could exchange it for you I hope you got everything working I work what it’s like to spend the time sweat and tears into building these things it’s almost like. Making a motorcycle with all these parts
Hi Larry, I did get it resolved. Ebikeling sent me a replacement kit which worked fine. I can tell you that the issue was not the display unit, because i hooked the new display up to the old setup and got the same result. I bought my kit refurbished, and the replacement kit came with different (newer) connectors than the original kit, so I was unable to interchange some parts. That being said I think the issue was a bad wiring harness, and possible bad hall sensors in the motor too (that's what the error code pointed to). Good luck with your build! You might save some time by requesting a replacement kit
A throttle has ground, signal, and power (5V). Most controllers, and I've seen this with (my) ebikeling controller too, will run the bike at full throttle if the ground lead is broken. This is what's happening here. Now I don;t know why you get a throttle error and have that happen, but I would try a 4n1 cable. How about walk mode/pedal assist. DOes that work?
You need a Multimeter that you set it to continuity and meter the ground wire and do that wiggling on the wiring harness. If it opens like said in this post above, I bet the ground wire has come loose from its solder joint in that higo connector. Since you know its bad, I'd slit open the insulation on the back of the plug to inspect and resolder that wire to its pin. The put heat shrink over the cut open repair. But something tells me you will still have the error code 10 afterwards because thats a different issue.
How do I fix an error 11 code

I am having this issue right now and I think it's the wiring harness.

Why don't you just splice the wires in side
Did you ever get this resolved? I’m having the same issue.

Thanks for the info! No the walk mode doesn't work either... I haven't hooked up the pedal assist because I have no plans of using it
