Had an mpc1000 which I loved but sold as I didn’t use it that much. I know have a live project where I need to play some samples and manipulate them at the same time somewhat. Filtering, delay and reverb send mostly. Wondering if I should get an MPC1000 again or an MPC one +… does the one + have as much punch when used live?

the mpc one has more outs than the mpc 1000 though.. only catch is you need to connect an audio interface to it in order to access them.. but there are indeed 32 output channels on the mpc one

Thats tough. Looks like the unit in the video was dropped. I just pulled my 5000 out of storage, it was packed away for nearly 10 yrs. It worked perfectly when put away, but when I got it back out the pads didn't work! I found a video here showing a technique where you cut the sensor laminate to free up the sensor. This technique works! I am happy to say, I'm back in the lab again. The MPC5000 is such a fun machine to use!

I just gonna put like this,I own an MPC One and used a 1k back in the day and I know everyone loves vintage and all that but we must move with the time and the MPC One tops almost everything over the 1k,it's way more convenient in almost everything,the reason why it's doesn't have multiple outputs is because you can bounce your stems within the OS and when it comes to they way they sound,it's all about you,the MPC One has a clean sound that can be manipulated the way you want,no everyone wants that grit and plus music sonic has changed over the years.I would say the MPC 1000 can't come close to MPC One,I'm just saying but nice video though 🙏🏾

I have the old SL 1200 MK2 and have tried the new Technics models. Unfortunately If I have to be sincere, the Technics SL 1200 MK7 is a toy. Of the various 1200 models the one that comes closest to the 1200 MK2 in terms of robustness is the 1200 GR.

I got mine with the output expansion. Works perfectly with Ableton and I have the MIDI hooked up to the Komplete Kontrol. I don't sample on it as much anymore but I like running sounds through it for the FX

Nice list, and great effort, man! Cool to see the mighty little MPC1000 on the top tier! It's a dope unit! Sweet spot of features, size and flexibility. I'm still hanging out to pick up on older 60 / 60II, or maybe a 3000 one day too.. Meantime I can make do with S612 / S900, in combination with ASQ10, or my MPC1000 / 2000XL
