If you plan on getting kids into Magic, my mate came up with a brilliant idea. He has lined up Bloomburrow decks for when his kids are ready to play - bats, mice, rabbits, and otters; I called the rat deck..... kids love fuzzy animals so its an easy in. (I speak a lot about Bloomburrow, I thought Duskmourn was my favourite set of 2024 but I am reevaluating that opinion) Also with Final Fantasy - 8 was my gateway and I will love it forever, but if you're not playing 8, then 6 and 7 are good entries, but jump in whenever. If a character jumps out at you from the MTG collaboration then play the corresponding game.

Heeeey, that was my resolution! And by chance, I do have a specific answer for the 'what Final Fantasy game should I play first' question! I always suggest, if someone wants to know where to start but doesn't know what they want, to start with Final Fantasy 6. It's aged pretty well, it's one of the undisputed classics, but most important is that it has everything you COULD like about Final Fantasy in some form, so you can use what you like about 6 to decide where to look next. But also, a Playstation kid who played Kingdom Hearts will probably enjoy 7 or 10 a lot. And 8 DOES have a card game...

Decks on a budget is such a relative thing. Most of my decks are around 100-150 euros maximum. When we build decks on a budget, we try to keep it around 20-30. I'm probably just jealous hehe.

great 2 games, Just foudn the arch enemy made it too quick of a game and you weren't able to show off the decks much. great game play but it would be cool to do another duskmourn episode with the precons again, so you guys can show what decks really do and how good they are & Also maybe one of home build duskmourn decks :)

Great Game loved the decks :) Great plays by everyone! Mike with the Treasure into constructs, Phoebe with the Dinos, Gramps with his awesome IIndominus Rex, Rubee on Boros Patrol with Aurelia! it was such a brilliant game to enjoy watching! Rubee surviving a long time with that four mana and the ghostly prison holding the board down a bit through the combat taxes for most of the game. I would like to point out that on Rubee's last blocks when Gramps just sung with the Emrakul and Rubee block with everything have 14 power on board to kill the emrakul. All her creatures would have survived because Ordic gives all them First strike as well as, flying and vigilance because of all the key words amongst creatures on Rubee's board thus her creature dealing combat damage first and killing Emrakul leaving all her creature alive and potentially changing the outcome of the game :) Otherwise 10/10 game :)
