after canoe camping cedar lake i went right down the road to the cove hollow trail to ride my bike on a black rated trail and it kicked my butt! throw in 100 degree weather and things got pretty intense! watch me struggle...

I've only hiked this area. You need to bike Lake Glendale/Dixon Springs (GlenDixon). Nearly 20 miles of designated mtb trail. It's also Shawnee. I live about 15 minutes from it. Fun trail! Great video :)

So how did you find that trail?
long story short i found a lake with campsites accessible by water on alltrails, then scanned the nearby area for mtb trails.

I live in Illinois just a few hours north of the Shawnee. It's a whole different world down there. Mostly a bunch of cornfields around here. Lol.

I have a couple thoughts/comments. 1) You improvised very well for not having the missing GoPro Mount. 2) Damn shame the fish were not biting! 3) Those little upright cooking stations seem cool, but the safety aspect scares me (no knock on you Sir). 4) Your style is awesome and expect your channel to grow rapidly.

Nice work! Did your pedal clip one of the rocks in the very large rock section? You could hear a “ting” that sounded like a pedal. I have a hard time riding that very fast downhill but you did great.

I grew up in Lynnville, the falls were takin out for safety reasons. Before it became a state park it was leased by the town as its water supply from the coal mine, I glad the mine turned it over to DNR, I can look out my back door and know it will still be a nature park like I grew up going into

its some of the best in the area. another great spot being obannon woods 45 mins further west near corydon indiana.
Favorite place to ride! Haven’t ridden in three years. My goal is to be back in shape to ride it by June.

It was a cold day and sleet coming down. We were at Little River Canyon to kayak Little River. Instead we went looking for "sand rock" Only knew it was south of LRC. Passed "The Secret" and turned left, south. Just driving along and turned left again. Saw small road going up the mountain and followed it. After a while we found this place, back then called Sand Rock. Been going back ever since. Usually take the scout troop there every other year to explore, before going on to LRC to go swimming in our secret swimming hole. The new scouts are always blown away and want to come back. Can't imagine what the Indians called this place. When I take the scouts I hide the "golden fleece"(a bag full of candy. Bag is painted golden) in my favorite spot, and let them search for it. They always end up sharing with others, too much to eat.
that sounds like a perfect spot to let some scouts explore n even do a lil egg hunt! lol hope to go back again oneday myself...

Precook baked potato in Walmart bag in microwave for four to six minutes cuts your fireside cooking time in half
i didnt realize you could get precooked baked potatoes lol
