Liftport's Lunar Space Elevator Infrastructure

US firm Liftport (liftport.com) announced an ambitious project to build a lunar space elevator that could transport both robots and humans using an existing technology. Fundraising efforts are already underway on Kickstarter.com
Can this robot haul rails and brackets, weld brackets in place so that they only need minor adjusting not hours of squaring up the angle brackets, wire and install conduit, and think for itself? If not, what a waste of money.
i’d be impressed if it could bring a rail over to the hoistway and then rig it up for the mechanic

ilkay c.standard I just retired after 37 years of working on elevators. Not dangerous if you pay attention. Installation should always be a custom fit installed by humans not robots.
@@kevinmcrae3354 I respect your experience and genuinely interested in understanding why a robot is not a good option for a job that is very specialized... Many jobs are not dangerous if you pay attention so I don't think that is a strong argument... And why cant a robot do custom fitting ?

www.falsecar.cn our false car can help for the installation cheaper! And the robot can not install the rails till now. It provides the drilling holes and screws for the installation work. That shall be more acurate. But that doesn't lower the cost of installation much! Besides, the elevator shafts is not very acturate also. Human can adjust the installation according to the reality, but this can't!

Another video says the robot have several sensors, when it hit a rebar it will not go deeper. Then...maybe human come to check😂
Still a long ways away from replacing a human, and a lot can go wrong with this, but soon all the simple repetitive tasks will be done by these
