Hey, nice to hear from you and welcome to the game! Western Europe is the best when there is not much ocean and you are surrounded by forests. WE workers gather wood much faster then Eastern ones, so map is one criteria. France is very useful if you are not surrounded by players and develop fast enough, like 35 minutes at least, then you have strong tanks. Its Airplanes are what makes France special and make sure to know how to use them. Be careful that you have strong position from Western Europe age and that you eliminate some people already in that stage. There are more videos of France, watch a bit more gameplays and you will see key moments :)

This is kind of a niche game so there aren't many resources online to learn strategy, but I'm loving it so far :D So France follows more of a scaling build, with an eco-focused early game to rush asap into mid-to-late ages and start aggression there ? As a general trend, of course it depends on each game etc etc 😅

Hey, thank you for the question :) You are correct, with France the location on the map must be a bit isolated, if someone will rush you in late middle ages you need to have big defence, capable of supporting you through 5 minutes of first industrial revolution before you research tanks. Rushing starts at the beginning if every age advancement, you will be most efficient that way
