    Hey, where are you guys located? So what is going on with me is, for the past 15 years… Its as if somebody flipped a switch off in me. I don’t feel depressed, I don’t feel anxious… I just don’t feel. Meaning, I have little to no emotion. I can remember when it happened and it was as if somebody hit a switch on me. I don’t know what caused it, but I’ve been that way ever since. Before that, I was the most happy-go-lucky person and very loving and caring and it just disappeared. I haven’t done any SSRI or MAOI… quite frankly, because I don’t want to get stuck on the medication and have it be so hard to get off. I would much rather try ketamine treatment and see how it does and if it works, then we’ll see for how long and go from there. But I would really love to hear from you about this and what you think it could be. I remember reading something about LeAnn Rimes feeling the same way She has all the money in the world, everything she could ever want, great family, and she never feels happy or sad or anything. And she was on a bunch of different medication’s and nothing helped her. I don’t know if she has tried ketamine yet, but I’m sure she is trying. She can bring that inside back out, so she feels good at least sometimes. I’m sure you can find an article, because she has been very open about it. When I saw her describing what was going on with her, it was essentially the same thing that I have been going through. So I don’t feel happy, I don’t feel sad, it’s just a baseline flat affect. Is this something that you could help with? As I’ve been watching videos on ketamine treatments and wondering if it’s not something that would help me. thank you for taking the time and I would really love to chat with you about it.

    Can esketamine lead to tinnitus or exacerbate it ?

    • @ascendhealthcenter
      @ascendhealthcenter 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It won't lead to it. It could exacerbate or, more likely, decrease tinnitus--we've seen both as it modulates the nervous system. As a reminder, this is a TH-cam comment and not medical advice. ;)

    Anyone have any experience with kicking weed with ketamine?

    • @ascendhealthcenter
      @ascendhealthcenter 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, at the least it works well so you can pause your usage--ketamine works long after the drug exits your system, while weed can worsen the problems it's supposed to fix (nausea, anxiety, and depression) when overused. As a reminder, this is a TH-cam comment and not medical advice. ;)

    Such a necessary conversation!

  • @alyssabolen5230
    @alyssabolen5230 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is there something to be said about an imperfect attempt at at least bridging the gap for access? We know most substance use is or at least begins as self medicating attempts. That becomes problematic largely due to the inherent dangers of an illicit supply and lack of guidance but we must admit that a prescription in and of itself is often a class or racial privilege. There are race and socio economic barriers and other demographic barriers to quality healthcare and especially when it comes to mental health care in particular, that disparity can be even larger. Can we consider these programs, with all of their flaws, a small step in the right direction?

    • @ascendhealthcenter
      @ascendhealthcenter ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, harm reduction is a practical approach to these issues; we're releasing an irreverent video soon pointing out that illicit drugs can claim short term benefits too: we all need to think of the long term risks/benefits to any attempt at wholeness. Also, we'd be all for new technologies making treatments more available if they were also more affordable.

    Yes. Rachel Zoffness talks about all pain being biopsychosocial. Phantom limb has proven that pain is created in the brain not in the body. Just because pain has a brain related component doesn't make it not real ♥️💜🧡💚
