I want to be able to start a painting with a simple sketch like this and build up with the colours but it takes a certain level of understanding to achieve. Great work
Hey Abi, I've been doing this for awhile now, I draw since I was seven years old, I had formal education and a lot of help and opportunities to improve. This result can be achieved through sketching, lots of practice and repetition. You draw more as a hobby or you'd wish to make a career out of it? I'm glad you liked my art!

Hi Abi, thank you for your comment! Since this is a piece for my porftolio I really took my time. Overall it took 4 months to complete, but I must have worked on it for at least a 100 hours, more or less, during those four months.
