I'm 64 years old so I've seen my share of Springboks. My all-time favorite has always been Danie Gerber and I still hold him in very high regard with so many others, but Kolbe is now my favorite. He never stops to amaze me. In my opinion he should be the highest-paid rugby player in the world. Having said that, rugby players are not paid enough. I'm a South African who now lives in the US, so I look at what they pay US football players. It is mindboggling and these football players can't even begin to hold a candle to what rugby players can do. I'm encouraged though to see that the popularity of rugby (union) is growing in the US. Soon rugby players will begin to get their dues and earn megabucks.

Look, we are proud of the boys, and they have been amazing, but let’s not be so quick to forget how NZ owned us there for a while lol. That said, I call a Bok whitewashing the AB’s in NZ next year.
