Thanks for your video. You help many people to save money if they try to do exactly like you.
@@VinhTran-bn8fc very kind of you. Thank you.
This video was so helpful! I didn’t know where to start - and my carpet is gross - it’s 20 yrs old or more and needs to go. I can see I’ll need to just take it one step at a time. I have tendinitis in my right hand/arm around thumb - I’m a nurse so been treating it with rest. Hopefully I’ll be able to handle the pounding and prying. May wait to heal up a bit before starting. Wish me luck! Thanks so much , my friend! Nice laidback video. 😊

I still have this bread maker since 1996. Made a loaf today. Works perfect!
@@jennbee6758 Awesome. I love fresh baked bread!
This is not how to use a file.
I like it I would like to buy one.
Did you ever make a follow-up video if you replaced the hub or the hydraulic motor?
Thanks and I'm sure that is the problem with my bread machine that barely mixes. I'm going to take it apart tomorrow and look at the belt. It's about 20 years old so I'm sure that is the problem.
Oil
Cutting oil, or any old oil makes any drilling/tapping job easier and saves your bits😊
I'm sitting here carefully watching. He says, with no warning, "I'm sweating my BALLS off," omg. An amusing if unexpected moment.
No way, I didn't?! Haha. I should have edited that out.
Square it to the blade, not the guide.
@@wastedShaman Good point.
I was just today quoted $560 to do this exact thing. I said NO WAY, I can do it myself in 30 minutes!
A little longer than 30 minutes, but YES!
Why doesn't your breaker panel have a cover? That is very dangerous.
@@consentofthegoverned5145 Really? Those are switches. No exposed wires or connections. This is exactly what an electrical panel from 1965 looks like. The house I grew up in has the same one. This is perfectly normal and perfectly safe.
@@oddjobsremigauthier Switches or breakers? Two different things. And if they are breakers they are NOT safe, you've just been lucky. I inspect houses from much older that 1965 band never seen a service panel without a door cover to protect from arc-flash. Arc-flash, even from a residential 100-200A panel, can be deadly.
@@consentofthegoverned5145 So explain for everyone, how a cover would reduce arc flash, and what makes turning on or off a breaker is "dangerous" when every electrician on the planet tells everyone to turn off breakers for this or that? I won't argue the point further, but you going around putting unnecessary fear into people's minds is not beneficial.
@@oddjobsremigauthier Arc flash can occur anytime a breaker is tripped or closed. The NEC, most fire codes and the product listings of any modern panel will dictate that the panel is not to be operated with the door or cover open or removed. It's possible that this particular panel is ancient and does not meet modern codes. I oversee a building department including electrical inspectors, and work closely with many electricians, and I can assure that any electrician worth his wire strippers will tell you this: Anytime you open or close a circuit breaker these three things are imperative: 1) have a clear exit path 2) keep one hand in your pocket 3) turn your head away and close your eyes.
@@consentofthegoverned5145 You are almost exactly right. Arc flashes happen EVERY time a circuit UNDER LOAD opens or closes. Not just in breakers, but in switches and outlets too. Breakers are designed to safely handle these loads of 100 or 200 amps, whereas switches and outlets cannot. There is no need to fear, if you understand the risk. Trade schools, media and unions make these things sound dangerous to discourage homeowners from doing their own repairs, driving up the cost of owning homes.
Do you happen to know if I take a pipe wrench at the top of the cylinder the huge bolt does that unscrew to take apart the whole assembly
@@MasonMurry-t9c not exactly certain what you are referring to. The cylinder can be separated from the hoist by removing the upper and lower bolts. The cylinder generally is a steel tube with a threaded cap on the top and is threaded into the base on the bottom. Does that help?
@@oddjobsremigauthier yes what did you use to get that huge bolt on the top that has threads off a pipe wrench?
Impressive, but next time dispense with the horrible music
@@douggower9958 Thanks!
Why not use concentrated?? My landlord already did that a few hours ago, and I've been trying to get the smell of bleach out of the water. I have a 40 gal tank, and my he put about half a bottle in the tank. He told me to clear the smell of bleach, to just run the got water faucets until the smell is gone then i can take a bath. It's all very different from what I just saw in this video.
@@dawndeefox8125 It has been a few years, and if I did that video again, I would try hydrogen peroxide. What your landlord did might sound extreme, but in the end- no matter how much or little bleach you use, you have to run the water until the smell lessens.
nice music, straightforward, good humor, nice tips. earned my sub. thank you.
nice 3d text also
Thank you
How do you balance it? Brand new house. Had HVAC guys come out twice because at first I was hearing a humming sound (which I thought was normal, since I had just moved in), then a rattling sound (the reason I had 2 HVAC companies come check it out). I, also mentioned that there was never any dust on the filter. Was noticing light dust on the sides of my dark cabinets and hardwood floor at this time. Kept sweeping the garage, thinking I was tracking it in or that maybe construction dust was blowing out. They blew it off both times. Fast forward 3 years (and I did have it cleaned in between, I'm assuming they did clean the fan anyway), and I had a FB friend whose cat had kidney disease and was crashing. Good friend that I was, I gave her support, meanwhile leaving the litter boxes by the intake vent for a good 6 months, 3 to 4 days at a time every week, too tired to vacuum late at night, burdened by her frequent texting, in a different time zone to boot. It was around this time that I noticed a lot of dust accumulating, and the tar from my smoking was starting to stick to everything. Fast forward another year, my normal routine was to set the litter boxes near the intake vent for about 2 hours while I vacuumed and put the clean litter boxes in their normal spot. I have to admit, I got a little lazy still, and the litter boxes would occasionally sit there for a couple of days before I had energy to vacuum. The dust started to accumulate like crazy. I had changed the filter at the end of December, but it was blowing poof cloud dust. To make matters worse, because no dust was accumulating on the filter still, I started leaving it in for 4 months, instead of 3 to see if any dust would accumulate and thought I'd changed the filter end of spring, but when I went to change it recently, saw the date I had last changed it, December, and when I pulled the pleated filter out it was BLACK from all the cat litter dust. I have 5 flexible hose dampers because the builder decided to go register-happy on me after I pointed out I had no registers in my kitchen, only the closed-door pantry. You should see this place. Brand new house, coated with heavy dust. I'm wondering if that flexible hosing collects cat litter dust, and if there is any way to get the ducts to go straight across without any loops, after the fact? I'm desperate. I couldn't keep up with the dust, and now my grey carpet looks tan. I guarantee if I were to remove that flexible hosing, dust would fall out and choke me to death.
Cool. I've never seen large boulders moved by Hand.
What brand furnace is that?
Thanks for those tips, I actually broke a head, now I know.
My Breadman bread maker just all of a sudden started squealing & smoking any idea what it may be plz?
That sounds bad.
👍👍👍
Did it work when you put the new belt on? My machine is the same model but I think the problem is not the belt but actually the gear around the motor breaking off, making the belt longer than it needs to be by default
So the belt worked for a few loaves. Then the gear broke in half. The gear must have been cracked already, and a tighter belt finished it off. The follow up video to this is a shiny new breadmaker! Turns out the model I have is so old, I am unable to source a replacement gear. I haven't had any luck with subsequent breadmakers as I use it 4 times a week and they break down every 6 months like clockwork. Sorry about your broken gear. I make bread by hand now and bake it in the oven.
@@oddjobsremigauthier thanks for your response, saved me trying a new belt
Thank you!
Why would you have to add air? If it were leaking would it leak air or water? Is it the top fitting leaking the air pressure?
I'm not Randy, but this was very helpful. Thank you <3
I am glad!
My blades have a lot of rust spots all over the blades. I rinsed and used fan blade cleaner. Lots of dirt came off, but still this rust or rust like stuff will not come off. What should I do?
You realize I am not a furnace repair- anything guy. I wouldn't wager a guess at what caused the rust, or what to do about it. Sometimes it is worth the effort and money to pay a professional.
Thanks so much man now i know what's the problem with My engine hoist is, where was this video 3 weeks ago.😅
This video is 3 years old! Haha! Still use it often.
Good music!
Nice but a lot of work
It was, but the customer insisted.
What should I do if a nail came out with a piece of concrete stuck?
Unless the price of concrete is the size of a baseball, don't sweat it. No one will notice that hole and every type of flooring will cover it with no consequence.
youre gonna need more of that
Question, if you change the switch to a cycle different than the switch than was on the pump and water pressure starts this surging is this the reason? And what is your thoughts on the switches with the arm on it, that is supposed to cut off pump when it gets hot?
👏👏👌👌💪💪😉😉
lol uhm but did it work???
Yes. New pond videos coming out this summer.
😂
Glad you like it!
Thank you. I see I have to rest between each process.
Am I already halfway through ripping my carpet up off an addition built on a patio? Yes. Did I still watch this video for the commentary? Absolutely 😊
Thank you.
Yeah where did you get the wheeled hoist/crane?
There is a video all about it in the Gizmos and Gagets Playlist.
As s rule you never ever have screws going into the dryer vent. Lint catches on that can just build and builds. It’s a fire hazard.
Thank you. Good tip.
The only time you need to remove the fan is when the motor goes out. Cleaning it will not prevent the motor from taking a dump period.
I don't often contradict comments, but I do not want anyone to be misguided. The bearings and bushings inside the motor will experience excessive wear if the fan blades become laden with grime. It throws the balance off and causes the motor shaft to wobble and the bearings to fail. If you question this, try driving your car without balancing the wheels, and see how short a time it takes for bearings and shafts to fall apart.
@oddjobsremigauthier I'm pretty sure grease plays a big part on the bearings failing. I used to work at a food industry plant where we made vegetables. All there motors there were always dirty and they ran well as long as we were able to change bearings to prevent them from failing. Wear and tear will fail the motor not dust so that's the reason I don't agree with cleaning fan blades and wiping or blowing dust away from motor.
Shit Ty I got chore for my self Monday
I just inherited my mother’s bread machine , but only 1 button will work , is there an easy fix with this ? Please 🙏🏾 help !
I am not an appliance repair professional, however, if it is the belt that has failed, removing the bottom cover will, at the very least, expose the belt, which will have a number on it that the manufacturer can use to sell you a replacement. They might also be able to help you go through the installation process. Most manufacturers provide great how to videos on thier websites. I hope this helps.
How long did it last??
Still going strong!
Nope, it's what top comment said
Reminds me of our goverment... It looks professional but when it operates, it breaks.
90 degree elbows create a hammer force internal when flow is applied. The water stops when it bits the wall of the elbow, any 45 or softer angle would reduce the hammer force. Alot more noticeable in high pressure hydraulic pipes, the force of the hammer will crack welds and break joints.
Absolutely right. Easy curves reduce turbulence!
Now I want to replace a drip irrigation ribbon 😅 thanks
love your dog!
