St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Island Points Trip
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We spent 6 days at Marriott's St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Island Resort. The stay was covered with points leaving us with more money for special dining experiences and island fun. Using the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant and Marriott Bonvoy Business credit cards we able to accumulate enough points for an overwater villa with its own plunge pool. We took advantage of the savings on the room to enjoy t...
JFK to Male in Emirates First Class
มุมมอง 3.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
How we booked Emirates first class flight from JFK to MLE and back for $552 per person. Including a review of first class in Emirates’ A380 and B777 and business class in the B777. Also showing a few things to do during a long layover at JFK: 1) TWA Hotel, 2) American Express Centurion Lounge, 3) Emirates Lounge.
Is the sea plane covered with the points redemption? I'm looking to book this for next year but I read somewhere it costs $1500 for the seaplane
The sea plane cost is separate from the points redemption. You’ll have to pay cash for the sea plane. The per person cost of the sea plane will be between $800 and $900 for the round trip between the airport and the resort.
Great review. I appreciated the artsy camera work.
I'm glad the algorithm sent me your channel, great review! Keep up the great work
Wtf was that route lmao at 0:24
It's disgusting, you should stick to UA lmao.
Not inclusive pass
Great video - but I’ll add I would never decline a pre-landing snack. Subscribed - keep going
Small advice: make your voice louder
Thanks. I didn’t notice until after I started the upload that the microphone was backwards. Rookie mistake
Nope.

Great presentation - thanks for sharing!
Great video - well done!
Great flight. Thanks for sharing 😊……Tina
That was Terrible value.😧
😂 The value is subjective to me. I would pay the $15k to $16k for the flight. So paying less than that is worth it. I also hate transiting through CDG enough to pay almost anything to make it smoother. I’m looking for ideas for my next trip. What’s your go-to booking for value?
It's not
WoW! I Love Emirates A380! Cheers for more incredible and awesome flights!🥂🤩❤️✨
I just stumbled upon this channel I like your content. And I love supporting fellow black men. Stay consistent and I will stay consistent with my support
Thanks for the support
dont you like all men why bring race in to it
Ok but spanish airlines (Iberia and Air Europa) much better. Companies that have had the fewest accidents in history and best food, friendly treatment, and best value for money 😘
Iberia is definitely on my wishlist. Thanks for the rec
Nice flight. Lucky you got an upgrade!
Its My Dream To Experince Air France La Premiere.Great Video And Info
It really is a dream flight. Hopefully the tip for a lower cost can make the dream come alive for you
Excellent video and great editing! Appreciate your realistic highlights and the explanation of how to obtain the ticket at a much more "reasonable" price...imo, totally worth it!
Thanks for watching! I agree, any discount for la premiere makes it worth it
Great info! I hope you enjoyed!
It was a great trip!
amazing video and narration
Thank you so much for this well crafted video, you just help my husband and I make our decision about which island to stay at!
Glad it helped. Enjoy your trip!
Thanks for the upload. As a younger black man videos like this inspire me to continue to travel business & 1st & work hard. I'll recommend your channel to other younger men
Thanks for watching. I really appreciate the perspective in your comment!
@Pointed Travel There are many young men of color who are well to do in the 🇺🇸. We can afford stuff like this, but it is very important for young men to know if we see it we can be it. Thanks again
@@o.c.g.m9426why does everything have to be about color? 🫠
Great video! It looked magical!
Thanks! Magical is the best way to describe the island.
Did you need power converters in the room? Going there in a few weeks and wondering what I’ll need
The rooms have universal power outlets, so your current plugs will work just fine without a converter
@@pointedtravel Thank you!
No problem. You’re going at one of the best times of the year for the Maldives. Enjoy the trip!
bro~Hi!wow-perfecct content- take care. 😉
Thanks for a great video! Planning a special occasion trip and have been debating booking a 25 hour trip (1 connection) on the A380 in first. I’m concerned, having flown other first and business class products (particularly Etihad Apartments and Qatar QSuite), that Emirate first looks more cramped. Having flown it, did you get that feeling? Hard to tell in all the videos.
I haven’t personally flown Etihad’s Apartment or Qatar’s QSuite, but Apartment is much larger based upon other reviews. I’d say Emirates First falls between Apartments and QSuites. I went with Emirates over Etihad and Qatar mostly because Etihad retired the A380 and I wanted to try the shower and bar. I had an amazing time in Emirates’ F on the A380 and having done it once, for the points efficiency, I’d choose QSuites going forward. But if you’re worried about feeling cramped in the A380 or B777 F on EK, don’t worry. There’s plenty of space, the bed is large, and there’s space to stand up and move around a bit even with the door closed. If you can find the new EK F suite available, take that flight every time you see it.
@@pointedtravel Thanks for the info! If you have an opportunity to try the QSuite, I highly recommend it. The partition can be completely removed on the rear facing seats, turning all of those middle seats into double beds. No Dom, but dining is still great and the points value is fantastic. I'm actually in that product again on our outbound. On my return I'm presently booked on the Singapore A380 in business, but am seriously considering retaining those KrisFlyer points because I've found the one-way Emirates F for $4,500/pp (usually 2-3 times as much). Still a lot of money, but if it's a good product, I'll use the points later for a Singapore A380 suite. I'd love to try the new "Gamechanger" suite, but it's unfortunately not in service on this particular route. It looks amazing.
How did you upgrade from business to first class? Were there open seats during check in?
At check in. I asked the agent if there were upgrades available. Once they confirmed that upgrades were available, I transferred my points and had them process the upgrade.
@@pointedtravel Do have any status with Emirates? How early did you check into your flight?
I forgot to mention it in the video, but the Emirates credit card gave me Gold status with Emirates
@@pointedtravel How many points did it take to upgrade ?
The JFK-DXB flights were 54,000 points per person to upgrade. The MLE-DXB flight was 48,000 per person to upgrade
Your voice is like butter, I've never and I mean NEVER watched travel video without skipping until today. I literally watched the entire video.
😂 best comment! Thanks for watching
Great job man!
