Hitman 8 first playthrough - Part 341 Isle of Sgáil - Sniper Assassin
Once again the coolest spot is also the worst. Tried to get some fun kills in but there were none. Got a bad habit to immediately run off when shooting now, but I now understand the game better and I realize I can actually linger around, at least for a little bit, to see the corpses fly and watch the people panic. Non-fatal elbow shots make guards insta-spot and ID me though, so that's lame.

So it turns out first person view is OP because in order to do shit, you have to be facing the object (person to grab, tool to use, etc), which is really annoying in TPS because Hitman never faces the way my camera is facing. 01:25:53 hahaha if someone didn't know what game this would be, this would look like some sort of goat simulator or something! That fight, the sound effects, that pushing over the fence!
01:26:11 HAHAHA
Hahahaha, imagine such a fight in a movie
28:40 the walk cycle of the woman in white tanktop is hilarious! And those dancing people :'D
28:22 For a game from 2006, the amount of NPCs is impressive.
Yeah, this level should probably be in some sort of game development history museum or something. Pretty impressive what they did with the crowds here
Clicking through the video, this map has very similar vibes to Whittleton Creek? Just less NPC's! And it's just one street with a garbage truck? Wherever I click, on the timeline I see that garbage truck!
Lmao, I tried a "throw everyone in the garbage truck" playthrough for like 5 hours before playing the map properly
And yeah, Whittleton Creek is just this map but bigger, like when I first played it it really felt like they tried to doover this Blood Money level, but imo with limited success. Ignoring the dated gameplay and limitations at the time of Blood Money, I prefer this version. My problem with Whittleton Creek is there live no normal people there. All the people are either at the barbecue, are undercover security guards for the target, or are otherwise involved with some shady business. This makes the neighborhood in Whittleton Creek feel like a very desolate place, despite there being a lot of people around (And I think the square layout of the level doesnt help either). In BM hardly anything is accessible but despite that, all the houses feel like they are actually occupied by normal people (other than the target of course).
You stood up, pointed the gun at bodyguards still they can't see you. Not the logic we need in new games at least.
👏👏
Keep it up with the gaming content! Love this👏👏

Bro got early access to Hitman 8 smh
The game has been out since 2021
clickbait
While I agree the video isn't very interesting, where exactly does the video not deliver what is promised in the title?
@@moreofs there is no Hitman 8, its an Hitman world assasination McGregor playable mission.

Hahaha, I remember one of the key codes being the meme number, and one of the keycodes having 47 in it. But I couldn't remember which ones. I was too lazy to look up my notebook in which I wrote it down.
Ok but you wasted the first 10 minutes for nothing.
Yeah, it's pretty silly how some of these Sniper Assassin challenges don't actually let you snipe
its nice to indicate its your first playthrough, makes what you do more doable than people who've done a level 26 times and know everything about it
Actually impressive.
I didn't watch any portal content, didn't watch any blindfolded content, but youtube still recommended me this video
I would have never thought to use the portals and especially the portal gun to move the camera
That's some quality content. Love that you kept the blindfold (the bag) on your head even though the rest of the level was just a cutscene lol
The fact that someone can do this without eyesight restores the little faith in humanity i have left

Hahaha, yeah that one was too funny
what a madlad...
Nice
finally after 8 years someone done it.
You're finally there :D I am happy you liked this mission. Most of the players myself included find it lame. It is too linear and limited for a hitman mission, might as well been a cutscene, but whatever. It's a playable epilogue. Leave the "kill everyone playthrough" on this map for later, the Codename 47 challenge asks you to do just that anyways, so you'll eventually get to it. And as for the redacted challenge, I suppose I can give you a little tip (since you've said you probably gonna google it anyways) - when you approach Edwards, wait some time before you eliminate him, don't rush it. You'll figure out the rest. Btw, I completely agree with you that it's sad they gave up on [The Broker, The Mastermind, The Moneyman etc.] formula, I appreciated they had a title for each target, that was cool. Keep up the commentary videos going. Thank you.
wtf is this bullshit
I'm sure noone at the coast guard will suspect any foul play if everyone at the beach is found unconscious in the sewers, the restroom, or the fashion shop :D Surely, they have nothing to do with the five dead bodies. Kudos for your patience on this, S!
Hahahah, I had that exact same thought after finishing. But the last guy was found dead in the water with "shark bites" (and there totally isn't a bloody pair of scissors lying on the shore right next to him). Thanks! I actually quite enjoyed this challenge, though the time investment was a little bit too much in the end. I could've just lured the guy into the sewers just like the rest of them, or done the briefcase trick or an emetic gas grenade thing or something to speed it up, but I wanted to at least make it look like a shark killed him rather than have a sharkbitten corpse be found in the... bathroom? But something tells me that would've fooled the coastguard more than what I did now :D
9:04:20 moments like this must be stressful for a moment. Thinking someone found the bodies!
Hahaha, yes. Fortunately he was only confused by the broken door :D
Respect for doing this with SA. It's funny how you have to take down the guards all the way up the mansion, while that area has nothing to do with the mission. The tension must have been high after taking down random npc's for one hour, and then hoping there won't be a bug or making a mistake.
Thanks. Lol yes. When I decided to dump the final dude in the water (since shark bites on his fancy beach chair make no sense) there was one woman I was still afraid of (9:20:31 the one who walks up to the parked scooter along the main road). I don't think she actually has a line of sight, but it was definitely tense. Lots of good attempts lost to bugs or unexpected guards (like the ones at the mansion. I am still not used to NPCs in this game being able to look up or down (they cant in HM2016))
It was actually surprisingly fun clearing the entire beach like this, but some willpower was required
Yo, S, in case you're wondering why the guards start swarming your position and never leave I can tell you what happens mechanically. When any guard sees smb get shot he gets panicked and is then scripted to *pathfind* to the spot from where the shot was taken to investigate, then one of these cases should happen: 1)the guard finds 47 (guard becomes orange) > engage combat 2)the guard doesn't find 47, investigates the area for about ~1 min > stop investigating > come back to the body and bag them Since you're sitting in an area which is unreachable for the guards (NPCs can't climb ladders) they simply can't pathfind to you and are completely stuck on that step. If you will remain in that area they will be infinitely trying to get to you and never succeed. None of the cases above happen, they never become orange and they never stop investigating.
Figured that's the case. It makes sense from a realism perspective too, but it's rather annoying. So many cases where I'd like to hang around for a little longer just to see the guards clean up the mess but I can't because they're swarming me. I tried to do a 'clean' attempt where I shot all three targets at once and then scram it before they could reach me with their magic pathfinding, but my perfectionism got in the way and it just turned into a savescum run :D Not my proudest playthrough, but I'll figure out sth nice when I start speedrunning this.
AS A NEW TH-camR, I WISH YOU AMAZING LUCK IN THIS GAME AND YOUR JOURNEY IN TH-cam !! IM GONNA BE A NNEW SUBSCRIBER FOR YOU, I plan on posting hitman but i already playeed liked half the game so :sob:
20:47 Impressive time! Concidering all the steps you have to take, it feels like the time should be much longer.
19:13 You've got a big room with lots of hubbub, echoes, machinery and an intercom talking. But the sound of a fish being dropped on the floor beats it all!
Hahahaahahaha
18:22 They have turned into the most oblivious guards ever, in contrast with the moment at 12:55
13:10 47 is so good, even an exploding aquarium can't knock him out.
12:55 Those are the fastest combat engaging guards I have seen in the game. They start shooting almost immediately. Normally they wait at least a few seconds before acting so you have time to knock them out.
nice👍❤️✨
You're getting close to the end! I'll tell you what's the matter with Ambrose Island (Shadows in the Water mission), the devs added it the latest of all, after the main campaign was finished, but chronologically lorewise the mission happens after Whittleton Creek and before the Isle of Sgail. The devs just didn't bother putting it into the story menu. You can find Ambrose Island in the destinations tab instead, at the very end of the list. I wouldn't say it's a small bonus mission. It's a pretty full-fledged one. I enjoyed it. Are you gonna try out Freelancer mode when you're finished with the campaign? Or are you gonna stick with clearing up the challenges and playing escalations/bonus missions?
Ah, I believe you (or someone else?) told me about an out of chronology mission. I'll play it after Carpathian Mountains. I will do Freelancer, but I'm not sure when yet.
Cool strat for maelstrom, did u figure he walks near that place around 3-4 min every time? Even without recognising him first
I didn't know he walked past that spot specifically at first, but I did know he has a generic loop at the start of the level which only gets interrupted when you start doing mission stories etc. So I started looking for him, accidentally bumped into him there, saw there was noone around, and just killed him. On subsequent attempts I then noticed a car engine was right there, making it even easier. My initial plan was to look for him first, using his voice to identify him, and then drop a neon sign on him from a distance somewhere, but yeah that didn't happen :D
@@moreofs Gotcha. That electrocution trap seems really efficient if nobody else ever walks there, gotta remember that. My most efficient SASO strat was extremely simple, since the mission stories are indeed too op on this map. I just gave the Artist his paint, reajusted Kashmirian's scope, let him shoot Rangan, then knock him out and call Vanya. After that just kill the remaining targets with a train on their meeting and escape, never having to identify or search for Maelstrom. It's more fun actually killing the targets one by one, entering each of their dens, though it's a bit more difficult.
I haven't done the train story mission yet. I've played with the train a lot but never did the actual story surrounding it :D Yeah, I'll definitely have to do a SASO run where I kill them myself at some point@@SkyL3R7
This is where the Twitter bot army is made
the institute can produce 600 gen 3 synths in 10 hours
Been a long time since i have been in this room in fallout 4, also fallout 4 continues to be my favorite game right next to my favorite movie Tron Legacy.
synth arent perfect, if you want to know if your partner is a synth just try to take off the underwear. its apparently grafted onto them with the skin in the final stage. or just see if they leave the cap off the toothpaste.
Maybe there is a scuba diver down there who puts all the underpants on!
Test
Yes, very optimized. Funny how the Institute basically was hyperfixated on Synth production to an immense fault. Can anyone explain why augmenting humans with cybernetics is considered an insult upon nature but making cybernetic human mimics is entirely acceptable?
Synths aren't humans to 99% of the institute. They can be shut down with recall codes. If Kellogg went rouge that's priceless technology and priceless information just floating about in the wasteland.
we calling that ethic its a limit human have agree to don't create living thing its the only thing all scientist agree dont take the job of god
@@MrTod1984 You might be surprised to hear this but multiple Institute leaders (including Father) say almost word-for-word, that new Gen III Synths have a respectable claim to humanity and are now more than machines. Which is obviously a massive contradiction to the actions the Institute takes. We can blame Bethesda's writing for baking in a paradoxical contradiction in one of the core factions. Another contradiction is an aversion to cybernetic implants for people (Kellogg has multiple implants, stopping his aging process for the last 60+ years). So instead of improving & mass producing those cybernetics for all Institute members; they'd rather build hyper-humanlike Synths and treat them like simple property WHILE SAYING "Yeah, these new Synths are basically human and probably should be considered human..." Also, Synths go rogue absolutely all the time. Even Gen III Synths manage to escape the Institute and flee far away from the Institute. These Synths are so free that they leave the Commonwealth area and spread out all across the coast (Synths in Washington DC evading capture). You might ask "No way, the Institute would relay teleport missing Synths back to the Institute." Holy shit, that'd solve a lot of the Institute's problems. But they don't do that though. Which is to say Synth technology is available to ordinary humans and that cybernetic technology development had no reason to have been entirely halted.
It's strange that you decided to kill the target so early, before even entering the mansion and only then began exploring the map. Don't you feel like you ruin the story experience for yourself by doing that? When I played Dartmoor for the first time I went for the Detective story mission and it was quite long, amazingly immersive and well scripted. This mission story is only good for the first playthrough I feel like. When you already know the solution it becomes pointless.
Yeah, I thought it was weird how it let me kill her so early, but figured that the main part of the mission would be acquiring the evidence (which it was, kind of). I don't quite remember why I decided to actually go for the kill this time, when usually I would leave targets for later. I guess I just really wanted to put her in an actual grave and fill it with dirt :D Also at the time of me killing her, I wasn't aware that the detective story was going to be this involved, nor was there any reason to assume it would be since no prior mission stories were like this before, and it never actually made a difference whether I killed someone early or late. So IOI should've railroaded me into it better. I don't think I had it ruined much though. At the end of the level I was aware the detective plot existed and roughly what it entails etc, but I didn't give it much thought beyond that and still had no clue who the culprit was, let alone why or exactly what happened. Also didn't help I 'pulled a prank' on literally every single family member so I couldn't even interview them and get their alibis, which is where most of the real intel ultimately comes from (I have since solved the mystery on a second go around) I guess the only downside is that on my second go around, I was now familiar with the layout of the mansion and already knew where to find the clues (curse those fucking footsteps outside the window though), so it wasn't so much as 'searching for clues' as it was 'remember the clues'. Still, I enjoyed the mission story!
@@moreofs Glad you still enjoyed it on your 2nd run! When you get to Mendoza though and if you want to keep it immersive, I do recommend you to go through the main story mission first and finish it till the end, since it's somewhat of a grand finale. Then just restart the mission and explore the whole map freely, so you don't miss anything.
