I think I haven't studied enough for JLPT N4 this December with all of the things you do 😅 I hope I pass 🤞
you’ll be okay! actually just before the exam i didn’t study a lot cause of a mind blocked but i passed! my biggest advice is to do practice exam videos on youtube. i think it’s the best way 🩷
Thank you for sharing. Nice to have a look into an average salary and how one allocates finances.
thank you so much! 🤍 i’m glad you found it insightful.
You're cute 😘
do you have other taxes like city tax, prefectural tax, etc. are they included in your tax deductions stated on this video?
She did not include the residence tax of 11,983 yen ($76 USD) per month for someone with gross monthly pay of 285,000 yen. However, residence tax only starts from June of the 2nd year you are working in Japan. (Because they calculate the taxed income for year 1, and make you pay it from June of year 2, year 2 tax is paid from June year 3 etc etc)
thank you very much for your comment. you explained it perfectly 🤍
Great video! You did an amazing job breaking down the cost of living in Japan. It's really helpful to see how much you earn, spend, and save in different categories like rent, food, and entertainment. I'm planning to go to Japan soon, and this gave me a much clearer picture of what to expect. Super insightful and well explained, thanks for sharing!
i’m so happy to hear that!🥹🤍🤍 i hope you have a great trip here in Japan! if you have any questions please let me know 🙏🏼🤍
Are you trans?
Where are you from?
i’m from the uk! Ethnicity is Lebanese/ Greek!
This video is so clear. What camera gear did you use? Thanks.

What area are you living in? Because central Tokyo vs Chiba vs Kanagawa vs Osaka could be very different right? In particular, regarding rent. Maybe include at least the prefecture next time. (:
that is very true. My company does pay part of my rent so I’ll only pay what is stated in the video. I live in Chiba now but it’s more towards tokyo area. I’m moving more central Tokyo next March! Thank you for your comment and advice! it is a good point!
What kind of work do you do?
I am an English teacher!
Okay guys, honestly, just doing Anki everyday with a good deck like the keishi 1.5k + jlab and Tae Kimm's Grammar guide and then finally, the newly updated 10k deck when you are done with all that is gonna be better for you in the long run. Its easy to stick with, prioritizes root memory and kinda forces you to do it everyday. Having books physically is quite a hassle so I read all my books on my tablet or phone which works fine if you get used to it. Just get the grammar and vocab reading of the kanji from anki and you are golden my guys. If you wanna write by hand though, thats a different story.
I would love to live in Hokkaido! I don’t think Tokyo would be for me due to the heat and the stress levels …. My Japanese is about N4 level atm. 頑張ってね!ありがとうございます!
Hokkaido is a great place. i hope you could get the chance to live there! living on the outskirts of tokyo is nice because it’s less busy. n4頑張ってください🤍 コメントありがとうございます!!
hope to hear from you!!
thank you!!🤍🥹
Thank you for sharing. Great info!
Thank you! glad to hear that 🤍
Can you give the link of the pdf book.
What resources did you use as a beginner: Genki?
This was very interesting to watch to compare to US salaries. I am wondering if you have any costs related to transportation or health care needs. Also, do you have any student loans that you are paying for or charitable donations? Thanks for sharing!
I’m glad to hear that. Currently to and from work, my company covers the travel costs. So my travel costs will only be on weekends if i go out. I currently just have products i get from the dermatologist, so with my health insurance i just pay 2000¥ at most. I am not current paying in student loans. However every once in a while i do charitable donations! 🤍 i hope this answered your question. please let me know if u have more!
This is such a nicely made and interesting video, I loved it!🥰 You seem like such a sweet person, I would love to become mutuals with you!💖
thank you so much! i’m so happy to hear that ☺️ sure!! i would like to as well!

Hey, may I ask what job do you do?
@@karinaduarte5587 I'm working as a content manager in social media :)
very nice video, insigthful and nicely edited, maybe instead of amounts could use percentages to keep privacy about your income, what is your opinion about gender pay difference in Japan and does it impact you, as a foreigner, a lot or not, keep up the good work. Greetings from Mexico!
thank you so much for your support and advice! 🥺🤍 As a foreigner it does not directly impact me, however I do believe that in a company it’s much harder to get a promotion regardless of gender.

The cost of living seems to be increasing every year, making it harder to keep up.
Indeed , it's becoming quite challenging to manage expenses.
Global issue really
I've actually managed to stay ahead of the curve. I'm even contemplating early retirement.
@@AshleyKeith-vw7ws Impressive! How did you achieve that?
@@ScottLarrry Our family got introduced to a financial consultant”DESIREE RUTH HOFFMAN .” about four years before my dad retired. That was what changed things, and I think my retirement income will be on the right track, luxury cars and trips
thanks for the info!

😁😁 In English we say : First come first serve.
