I'm obsessed with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and one of the few TASers for the the series. Expect Let's Plays of Nintendo games, some random TASes and the occasional random video.

This is fantastic!!
Love how you sometimes refer to TAS as a separate person lmao love adding some personality to otherwise inanimate things ❤️
44:50 Dont worry Coner the hermit crab, you mean something to me...
44:50 Its name is Coner and it's a hermit crab, not a snail.
the hammer bit about acceleration with hammer is crazy to watch, that’s so cool omg
We love us a LOTAD
Ahhh. If inhale canceling works in Kirby's Adventure too, that means my attempt at low-scoring that game is already obsolete.
cool video, good job lol
Looking forward to the Summoning Salt video in ten years mentioning you as one of the originators of this category.
12:34 you say that you can do this fight scoreless and save 3,500 points, but you gain 500 points. I think you inhaled the last enemy normally instead of with the cancel
I may have worded that poorly, the fight cannot be completed scoreless. If Kirby had one more hit point, a perfect score would be possible, due to the movement permissions of the Spear Knight and spawn orders of each chain of enemies. However, getting all of the knights with only five inhale cancels isn't possible. There are eight meta-knights in this fight. The two Spear Knights can be positioned for multi-kills, saving two inhales. That means six inhales are required to kill all the enemies, but since Kirby only has six health, you can only do five inhale cancels.
@asdq495 Ah! okay. You did mention in the video that it would require 6 inhales, I just didn't realize that that would kill Kirby (I did not notice the health bar getting low)
Dude why you gotta diss snail guy like that (I don’t know his name either).
33:31 what a great sentence out of context XD
Love commentated TASs. Immediately subscribed.

Hello from blueknot's community tab!
Hello blueknot's community :)
This is by far the best TAS run of a game I've seen. The on screen UI and player insight(And humor of course) made this so enjoyable to watch no matter where my eyes fell. Brilliant run, and glad I can be Subscriber #107.
love all the extra commentary on the side of the video
Me and the boys watching a time gear speed run a game
A+ commentary!
I just clicked because the title was funny, the phrase "interpretive swords dance" will probably be stuck in my head for the next 5 years
How can you not hit a wall or anything else? I tried to do this but I failed. is used the running cheats code in order not to collide into anything or anything else!??
The TAS stops running on the frame before it hits the wall, then continues running as soon as possible. This was not done in real time by a person, it is a series of pre-recorded inputs.
@@asdq495 Oh, You mean, it was the computer that was finishing the game. Okay, now I understand. Thank you very much because answered me. Thank you very much. ❤️🌹💙
You can skip the first rock at starting your game... It may be better for best time
Now THIS is epic!
I never knew that you can talk to npc’s to learn the code to Vinnies basement generator. This whole time I thought you just had to figure it out yourself
1:05:35 man I spent so much of my childhood time in this one area fighting all these triceras grinding all characters to level 50 😂
Me too bro 😅
Bruh he goes wild at the end man with every character 🤣🙌🏻 freaking awesome
Could you do an 100 percent tas next?
I'm working on some other TASes right now and want to improve any% a bit more first, but I might make a 100% TAS eventually.
Never knew how crazy random the stats could end up. I wonder how much SSJ2 raises stats
I'm not actually sure, the dual cartridge release of the game shows updated stats while transformed but I never checked for the slow transformation. I know normal SSJ is +10 to everything, Super Namekian is +6, and Enraged SSJ sets all stats to 100.
@@asdq495 I mean the SSJ rage I'm surpised it just maxes you out
33:27 that punch into the big bang was awesome
Thanks to this TAS i just noticed that you only spend like two segments of the game with each character before they're irrelevant until the Cell Jr fight. And Gohan despite being the first character doesnt actually have any doors in the game which makes him an optional character up until the Cell Games.
Before Gohan starts Talking to Trunks in the begining of the game, you can shoot a ki-blast. It happened 1 time during one of my speed runs. This also happened on other locations where you transit to a "cut scene" Maybe its possible to do something with this glitch? As like shooting a ki-blast to the second rock? So you only have to smash it one time? Maybe its useless idk :D How does that stat manipulation actually work?
Sorry, I did read one of your comments and you actually know about this :p Also about manipulation. xD I should read first before asking questions.
@@GentlemanJasper It's okay to still ask those questions, I enjoy answering them in the comments. The early cutscene attack idea sounds interesting, I'll try it next time I TAS this game. I don't know if it will work though, I think the rock might be too far away to hit. As for the stat manipulations, I don't actually know the specifics of how it works, just how to advance the rng by running in place. Everything else is pretty much just observations from playing casually/what the rng felt like it was doing.
@@asdq495 haha oke Yeah that was also in my mind that it would be to far away. I want to find out how the manipulation works for in my speedruns. Ill let you know if I find something out! And about your TAS, why don't you get the second senzu bean you can get where you need to safe the 4 children? I think it isn't a big penalty. This way Vegita never runs out of SS in the mountains? Could safe you some time maybe?
@@GentlemanJasper I actually tested getting that early senzu bean, but it cost more time than it saved. You can't move until Yajirobe finishes walking off screen, and a cutscene attack before the android 18 fight skips most of the transform animation, so there isn't as much time to save there as it looks. There are a few other spots where a senzu would be useful, but I don't think any of them save enough time to justify a second bean. I'd imagine it's probably worth getting in a real time run though (although I'm not a great judge for that sort of thing, TASing really messes with your sense of time and I've never speedrun anything before).
@@asdq495 Ah dang. In a normal speedrun it could be usefull if you make a mistake, then you could safe your run. I don't think you need a second one to get a faster time but I could be wrong. I still have to learn a lot since I just started haha
Insane. I love the fight's soundtrack and ithe fight is a treat for the eyes as well. Hope I see another good dragon ball TAS from you someday but unfortunately there aren't that many games as good as this one. Buu's fury is good but LoG2's combat mechanics are better.
Bro this is taking it too far
This game should have been called Legacy of Gohan 🤣🤣🤣
Id agree but im noticing apparently you don't even need to use Gohan for the entire game after Piccolo. He's actually less relevant than Goku is
@@GLMike420 He's the strongest character All characters are irrelevant after the game per se
thanks for the amazing video! one of my faves as a kid
Best game for ever
🙏🏾Hope, you’ll speedrun LOG: Buu’s Fury aka LOG: 3 GBA🔮!!!!
I only was able to watch the first 30 minutes but amazing job! I had planned on redoing this already so it's nice to see someone else do it and make such a well edited and commentated version!
Thanks! Your TAS was a huge help in making this one.
That was a good watch, LoG 2 seems like a really solid game in terms of glitches - no major skips or anything. I've played it quite a number of times and never realized initial character stats were random!
I loved my childhood.
Loved this game as a kid, really fun to see stuff I didn't know about, like the starting stat RNG. I think I also got a really lopsided trunks once, but I just assumed it was always like that.
i always got trunks stats that were just like vegeta's but worse (although i also vaguely recall him having a high endurance stat? but i might just be recalling memories where i gave him a bunch of capsules), i always just assumed it was always like that XD
Trunks being lopsided is normal, the TAS just had an unusually high strength + unusually low power combo. From my testing, it isn't even possible to get a Trunks with more power than strength; the highest power stat I found was still lower than his lowest strength.
awesome work! content i have been thirsting for in the GBA TAS circle!
Crazy how it takes over half the game to actually get to play as the person the game is named after
I mean, it IS named the "Legacy" of Goku. Gohan, his literal son, and all the people he's changed for the better are his legacy as well as his achievements.
Hmm I guess they could have done a pre filler with Goku before he got the heart virus but other than that it's following the show and Goku was out most of the android saga only showing back up for cell
the game is called the “legacy” not “dragon ball goku” use your brain
@@taylorransen7401 "User your brain" No need to say it like that.
You want to play moments when the Goku was supposed to be ill with a heart virus ?
you just won one other subscriber my friend 🗿
this is so cool -- it also is nicely edited for such a long video. fascinating to see people are speedrunning/TASing this game so many years later!
You need to level up all your character of dbz log2
I use to LOVE this game on GBA.
I hate so much this dungeon
"Oh hey, didn’t Sample end up doing this without jumping at all...?" >Banned: The entire Fighter ability "Oh."
In case anyone was wondering: "We have one free turn at the start of the fight, which we use to equip the Special Band. Confusion one-hits both team members, and Disable and Hypnosis prevent RNG manipulation, resulting in an instant loss. To avoid this, Vulpix turns around for the first few turns to manipulate Drowzee to flinch, regular attack, or Pound. At this point, both team members are low on health and can't take another hit unless Riolu uses Endure. Vulpix finally gets a chance to attack while manipulating Drowzee to hit Riolu. Tail Whip forces another flinch and doubles Riolu's damage output. This regular attack was delayed by 3 frames to make Drowzee target Vulpix. Vulpix survives the attack and manages to force a miss while using Ember. Running up-left forces Drowzee to target Riolu. He uses Hypnosis, but at this point, it doesn't matter, because he only has 8 HP left. Our next accuracy check fails, but we get around this. Faint Attack, combined with the Defense drop and Dark weakness, is enough to finish the fight."
