What's the map?
Torquey fuel map Fuel injection +2 & +3 in throttle and rpm ranges Ignition -5 & -6 in throttle and rpm ranges I run this map in wet and slippery conditions seems too preform we'll.
@@southerndirtbikeadventures would you worry about trying to run a lean fuel saving map for lake to sea on a yz450f? Or just take fuel in the back pack. ? All standard bike
@@greenroom246 for memory the 450f has a smaller tank but I'm sure you'd make it on any fuel map it's about 70k before lunch break/ refuel. Think my 450fx had about 2-3L left at lunch break
@@southerndirtbikeadventures just looked her up , 2014 yz450f 7.5L capacity. 2024 yz450fx 7.9L

Yes it sure is.. southland .
Cool
Just a clam family loop 😂
Why is everyone using the same music
TH-cam recommendations. I thought it was a good choice. However there are so many too choose from.
Hit 90mph on my 450r still contemplating how I survived 😊
You hit what at 90mph?
Show off said that kid at the bottom 😂😂
😂😂 was such a good ride. Untill a blew out my rear tyre. Fastest tyre change yet.
Love mine. Have a 501 and I dig this more
501?
@@southerndirtbikeadventureshusqvarna 501 I think
@@liamwilson1948 nice.
Do you have a fan installed or not? Has it been necessary?
Hey, 100% have a fan installed. I installed it myself, ordered it from my local yamaha shop bolts on and plugs in super easy. Definitely worth it is comes on quite often in these situations.
The yz450fx is a beast with its short first gear and the yamaha power tuner app makes any terrain easy work. I spent most of the day in a torquey fuel map.
It Was such a good roost He wont make that mistake again
maaan... the 450fx was always my dream bike. Unfortunately I had to settle for a 300XCW because there weren't any in the whole country at the time.
Oh mate that's rough. The 300 would be a mean bike also.
😎😎😎😎 let it eat 😂
It loves to bite. Real torquey
This bike is a beast. It Chuggs along in almost any gear. The 450fx Has so much low down torque.
Such a good ride, enjoyed every minute of it. 😊
Love a good roost.
Time for a nap b1 😂😂😂
Your not the only one having a wee lay down brother. 😅😂
Just got a sick map I used today in the mountains. Makes the bike way more smooth. I can see how jerky the throttle is here.
Hey yeah think I had the mx power feeling map running that day. That's pretty snappy that one.
Hey where ya get the map?!
Local Yamaha website. Was super easy too download and add too the app.
w
The easy way lmao
Haha look at the sign 😂😂
Cool kid on the block 😎😎😎
The new fuel map i made works a treat for wheelies. Super smooth.
😂😂😂
Hauling ass throwing grass 😎😎😎
💪💪💪💪
Another cool video mate! Nice
Thanks for watching m8 👍👌
Man looks like epic conditions! All the rides are rough and dry up north
It was! Can't catch a break with the weather lately. By far the wettest trail season i think we've had. I guess it does make it fun though. Thanks for watching.
Pekny trik 😂🤙
That’s a pretty blue colour button you have there 🤭
Haha been waiting for that comment from you. 😅 mx power feeling fuel map would of stalled multiple times on that hill.
The way he calmly places the bike down was too relatable 😂
Always trying to push me over 😅
Yoo I've been riding for a while now but never had a chance to take on dirt, got any bikes you'd recommend for someone wanting to test the waters?
@@avixs1543definitely a Yamaha 😅 few things too considered height and weight. Enduro/ trail bikes are geared nicer for slower technical stuff where mx bikes are full noise long range first gear. Alot depends on how and what you want to ride. I love the 450fx for a all round bike but it can be real heavy. Like in the video
@@southerndirtbikeadventures Awesome bro, appreciate the help! I'll have a look at the used market in my area, see if anything catches my eye
Wooow .. i like. If I was you I would employ smzeus!
Хорош
6 out of 10 on the muddy bike mate, I could still see thru gaps lol. Cool vid and funny lmao!
Haha, yeah its been worse. Was a great ride though. Glad you enjoyed 👌
Old top dog getting in done with speed lmao
You were at that ride aye?😅😂
Fuck yesss 😮😮😮
Yeah mate the second loop was nice and fast rolling. Well suited if your a fish or a duck. Wettest day for along time. 😅
Worst bog in along time. 😅
Hello from England. Looks like the same kind of ridein that we do
Hey man. Similar country aye. Ive saw some nice videos from England. Thanks for watching.
Fark imagine that smooth criminal sliding into ya dms 😂😂
Haha yeah that one got me.
Somewhere in Europe
New Zealand
nice video 👍
Thank you 👍
❤❤❤
Put them on border patrol
That was a huge hill 😂
What camera are you using? Some awesome vids. guy in front is a pain. Thanks for the great videos you keep pasting, i live in Western Australia and dont get to see so much green, just red dust most of the time so thanks and keep riding.
Gopro hero 10 mate. Were very lucky too have such amazing country to ride in. A huge shout out too all the farmers who open up there land to us. Wouldn't happen without them. Thanks for watching, more to come.
Fuck that guy on the yz is always holding you up 😂😂
Haha that guy aye😅
great footage! are you on a 250f or 450f ?you must have had a good rear tyre on as the front wheel doesnt spend much time on the ground!!😄 number 89? on the yammy 2t does not sound well....either muffler/jetting or all of the above??when they sound like a dieing blowfly you know they arent happy! looks like it cut up quite a bit later in the day. thanks for posting!!
hey man, I am on a 450fx. yeah, I had a brand-new tyre on. defiantly makes it difficult to keep the front wheel on the ground. the weather rolled in after lunch, wet trails always add to the fun. Thanks for watching.
Hey there that's some awesome looking country to ride. You using a proshot chin mount for your camera. Damn flats can ruin a good day riding. Cheers Richard
Hey Richard, yeah some nice country for sure. ive actually got a set up i made out of some cheaper 4k action camera accessories. Ill try uplad a photo. Yeah flats, haha. Had a spear at the truck was up and running again pretty quick.
@@southerndirtbikeadventures M8 ya did a good job of that mount, nice view and very stable. Yeah I hate flats tired mousses dead feeling expensive need to re-lube after every 4 or 5 rides, tried tubliss that was okay until you put big holes in tyre, settled for 7mm thick Lucioli tubes think they were 250 each, and I've managed to get a flat with them but as there so thick and have two rim locks mounted to the tube you can keep riding for a bit, and you don't have to worry about pinching them when installing. Cheers Richard
You running stock gearing on the 450? How does the slower stuff feel? Do you have to constantly feather the clutch?
Hey, yes stock gearing. I use a real torquey fuel map for the slower/ technical stuff. There can be quite abit or clutch work now and then in extreme situations, otherwise it seems too chug under its own steam pretty well.
