This is great that you create content & post here - i really appreciate you !
I'd really like to work in the Oil & Gas & Energy sector during the Trump administration. I can create my own media for it + presentation materials + research. How can I get connected & be seen ?
Can you make video on material Expeditor?
I took the mensa test at 15
I just watched a video by Alex Zastre, about becoming a Broker deals selling oil contracts. It sounded very interesting. He made it fairly easy. I'd really like to get hear thoughts about this. The networking you talk about in this video seem to sound like a good start. I'd still like to find a solid "A to Z" outline on how to do it.
WHWn you dont blink, you look like a psycho killer.
How toxic was the last independent you worked at? Supermajors are supportive and inclusive usually.
None of these jobs have anything to really do with Petroleum Engineering other than IB for Upstream. They just pivoted careers...
Real Estate is a side hustle, it has nothing to do with Petroleum Engineering...
Investment Banks hire Reservoir Engineers for transactions for technical analysis and cash flow models. Basically, type curves.
I AM LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON HOW TO BE COMMISSION BASED BROKER
The ending message is very bad. It is unrealistic and shows she has very little knowledge or how difficult international students have for obtaining a petroleum engineering job or O&G job in the industry within US specifically which is the implication. It is a function of USCIS, not on the fault of the person trying hard and applying. Getting a job in their home country in O&G is likely 1000X easier than here in the US.
The answer is...get married to a Natural Born Citizen or Green Card holder to get greencard/citizenship lol H1B route for Indians and China are ridiculous dealing with USCIS and most companies will not take H1B, F1, etc. no matter what company. Most US companies do not sponsor (every independent)....only supermajors will sponsor PhDs and treat you poorly given they know you are dependent on them and even then, they are very selective. Most have pivoted to IT/Finance industries given jobs are scarce and there are way more people than jobs. Most end up at SLB or Halliburton in a low pay job until many years squandered and they get their greencard from USCIS which is a huge backlog....
You just know this girl worked at a Toxic independent's department. I know some folks who worked at Endeavor and some other operators in Midland, where the guys who grew up in Drilling were total D!@ks especially toward minorities with their good old boy/sexist/racist mentality. And people wonder why minorities gravitate toward international O&G companies.
STEM careers for girls in India is actually very common from my network and family. All my cousins are electrical engineering majors. Oil & Gas opportunities in India are very very limited, due to lack of opportunity (few Indian companies, only recent IOC supermajors outsourcing cheap labor jobs in Bangalore, Pune) and cultural gender stigmas.
Has the MBA benefited you directly in O&G from a career mobility and salary increase standpoint in your current or previous roles?
Maybe it is a sign to move to more stable industries that also may well?....Oil & Gas industry job and salary outlook is not showing signs of growth, but rather decline and stagnation over the last decade despite high prices due to consolidation and corporate greed.
She was my geomechanics teacher! Great to see she is doing well.
HI Yoshi, very informative video, kudos to you. I would like to know if its better to relocate to Chicago even for a part time MBA considering the flights+hotels nightmares as you talked about?! I am currently on west coast but I have a flexible job . I am planning to pursue my MBA.
I took the WAIS-IV and scored 140. I'm debating if Mensa is worth it to join.

You are a terrible speaker
For half a second i thought that pink thing was a dildo 😂
Mam , i texted you in linked in regarding the job, though you didn't responded yet.. You also working in oil and gas company as production head .. then why you didn't help me out or refer for an interview like that
It will be interesting to see what happens with import tariffs. Building what would have been the "Keystone XL" would probably be a net negative for the American upstream as it brings more Canadian production online if construction starts. The effect of Trump will be a willingness and ability of investors to fund some of the smaller players.
the U.S. didn't cancel it the company did they move on from it please get your facts straight plus i think we need to move away from oil and gas over time it get expressive to drill and let's face it going run out so we need to move to renewables

I've recently joined an ETRM consulting company as a Functional Analyst for Oil & Gas Commodity. Can I say that I've entered the Oil industry? Before this I worked as a Manual Tester in an another ETRM product company for power commodity.
Thats true I never really thought of making good connections with my class mates
I graduted from the institute. Nowadays I'm learning english. I want to study abroad in terms of petroleum engineering. Could you give me advise about where I study for me better? And how I prepare to study foreign country? Beforehand, thank you your answer.
She really don't blink her eyes 🤧
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO HEAR.. ❤❤
Bro listen i work in the oil 🛢 and gas industry i started in a warehouse and now im working in the field im a gas tech right now, to make a long story short go to Midland Texas just pick what path you want to take, here is some companies NEXTIER, LIBERTY, TFS GAS, AKA Texas fueling services you dont have to go to school they will train you remember this is not a 9 to five job you will have to travel alot but you will make a lot of money this will depend on you, also do some research on offshore jobs if you dont mind being gone from home, may the Creator bless you on your journey 🙏
Thank you Yogashri for giving the motivation to stay in the oil and gas industry. It's hard now to get into the market but hope one day will crack the way to get in.

I have worked in the Upstream for almost 15 years. This industry isn't for everyone, and realize that your role is going to change, and you need to be able to hit the ground running and adjust. Having worked as a Geoscientist in Exploration, Development, wellsite/geosteering, advice I would give to any young person is take the time to learn how your role fits into the larger picture, how your role adds value, and how you can leverage it to the next role. It is very easy to get tunnel vision on a certain basin or play and be open to learning new things. Having varied experience in different plays across mostly Alberta/Texas/BC/New Mexico, has helped me greatly but at the time when I adjusted to new areas and roles was very stressful. You do have to love this to do it, and you are 100% correct, the money alone won't be enough for the ups and downs.
I´m a student of drilling and production of petroleum, and I think this video very important for the students in this area to know how things in this sector really work.

Thank you.
Thank you. Could you tell us about how you funded the degree.
What are your interviewing experiences in oil and gas? What are your observations being an interviewee or interviewer?
Why are you entertaining the MBA? What's the cost-benefit analysis you've done to get the business acumen through the MBA? It's not just getting the degree, it's what you do with it :)
Can someone with msc construction project management work in the oil and gas.........And which position or role will I be able to get
Yoshi!! Thanks!! I started in 1978 & I am in the industry for around 45 years!! The reason for me in OIL & GAS is MONEY!! I didn't care hardship & I've earned US$40 million in Assets & Cash!! I don't complain for hardship & I am only into MONEY!! Can you tell me any other jobs can make BIG MONEY?? I have my own Oil company now!! May be I was born very poor in 1950's??? No complain!! I like your workaholic attitude too!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
I agree with this guy! Nearly everyone I went to PE school at UT googled what pays the most with a bachelors degree right out of college back in the 2000s...and PE was the top one. Over a decade later, i am a multimillionaire. Worth it!

Hey completely agree with your opening Yoshi, I have been working in oil and gas industries from more than 5 years, stills looks uncertainty in my career, even I switched my career from Filed to office then Oil and gas Software then oil and gas consultant. Still done not have clear vision. Al through i have worked in production reservoir well test and other oil and gas operations.
Im just asking a question, if it's okay with you⁉️ Did you experience something really bad in the Industry you are saying is far from perfect! Help me understand what, exactly are you REALLY talking about! You Love , you Love the Industry really reely more than the point uou are making! Thanks for the advice! Great Luck Moving Forward ⏩
@@FaroukAli-e7p great question. I am fortunate enough to not experience anything so bad to where I would leave, but not every industry is perfect. I’m pointing out what could be reasons people will want to leave oil and gas.
