At some point in the story, the AOA will block the path to Mirage Desert. Based on the information you provided, it’s hard to tell exactly where you are in the story. However, I think you might have missed talking to Lisa in the Asuka City Master Room. Make sure to speak with her to continue progressing.

Yes, it had unique features for its time. Visible enemies on map, like you mentioned, and no transitions when entering towns or other areas, making it feel like an open-world game. It's a great game and one of the first RPGs I played back in the day.

@Tritemios I got into it when I was in 6th grade. I remember trying to beat Darkbeat and Ibkee by walking until walkbomb got to 999 damage. When I did that, Darkbeat and Ibkee started hitting for over 150 damage each. I did the same to Kalkanor and he started hitting for over 400 damage. So, every playthrough I had a goal to do enough damage to make them all hit like mac trucks. I was able to do it without walkbomb if I leveled myself up enough. Seemed like Darkbeat and Ibkee had about 500 HP each and Kalkanor had somewhere around 700 to 800 HP (of course, when you fight them they have infinite HP.).

@@irenaeusofpensacolaI tried leveling up to try to win the battle against Darkbeat and Ibkee too, but it’s scripted so you can’t win. Good memories!

@@Tritemios The way I saw it as a kid was that if I got them to start hitting ridiculously hard then I won. It took about the same amount of damage as it took for them all to be defeated later in the game.

It's more time-consuming than hard. It takes a long time because it has an ridiculous high amount of HP. It feels more they did a test for the player's patience than a truly hard battle. For me, the Zodiark battle is much harder, even though Zodiark has far less HP.

I can feel your frustration! Its massive HP and the time it takes to defeat it are just absurd.

@Tritemios i don't mind massive HP, I am mad about infrastructure of my third world country back then when I was kid, nowadays it was rarely blackout but it's too late since I had nothing to play and games nowadays are woke

Watch the float closely. When it goes underwater, press X and keep pressing it, but be careful not to let the gauge go too high, or the line will break. Try to keep the gauge in the middle.

The Shop Minigame depends a lot on luck, and you need to earn at least 2048 Bits for Monochromon to join the city. Goburimon and Muchomon are easier customers, so you can try raising prices more often, even if they get a little unhappy. Gotsumon and Weedmon, however, are more picky and need careful handling.

Yes, you can only change Digivolutions in the cities with Piximon or the Professor. Mirage Tower has a shop, but it only sells equipment.

I'm glad you enjoyed the playthrough! It's a long game, with 100 videos, and it doesn't cover everything in the game since I didn't focus on the card battles. Maybe in the future, I'll do another playthrough that includes that part. Digimon World Maeson is a great game-I played it fully and recruited all the Digimon for the city. I think you'll enjoy it!
