Look forward to new year Dave
Cracking job Dave (as usual). I don't run mine that much, but when I do I always turn the fuel on without the ignition on and then give it a few kicks. Then turn the ignition on and with a bit of choke it fires up ok. Just sayin'.
Great content cheers
Good job Dave, wishing you a very merry Christmas🎄
Still one of the best looking bikes ever 👌
But the adesive on the front mudguard Is not originals
wouldn't bother me!
Great dave have a great Christmas all the best
Sounds nice I can smell the 2 stroke from here
Sounds great
Thanks for sharing Dave, have a good Christmas and see you in the New Year 👍🏻
Thought that was an SDS hammer drill on the floor by the bike until I saw it was a heat gun! Wondered why you'd be using a bloody great hammer drill! 😁
Looks a nice bike & like you say, if you didn't pay a fortune for it, happy days. Ride it & enjoy it. I've had loads of LC's & RD250/400s. I may well be teaching you how to suck eggs (sorry if I am), but just for your own info'; the carb's are most likely from a 350 YPVS or a Banshee quad bike. Your rear wheel is 250LC (The 350 rear wheel has cush drive rubbers in the hub). The exhausts will have a part number prefix of either 4L0 or 4L1 stamped towards the rear end of the exhaust. 4L1 is 250LC & 4L0 is 350LC. Same applies to engine & frame numbers. Your candy blue paintwork is circa 1983/1984. The 1979/1980 V-reg would have "mars-bar" black livery, or white with blue or red decals. Also no engine stabiliser bars on the earlier models. Anyway, you have a lovely bike!
Hi David, Great videos . can you confirm which cables go down which side of the headstock? Thx in advance.
What a beauty
"That's where it's at" Chalet parties, a social whirl.

Nice to see you back Dave.

Welcome back sir
Great to have you back
Hi Dave, it's really good to hear from you again. I was worried that you were giving up posting on TH-cam, and I was missing your fantastic advice and tips on LC rebuilds and repairs. Welcome back and pass my regards to Roger, as you say, a great, passionate LC guy.
Good to have you back in the shed Dave
...says he after three weeks on the Algarve.
Nice to hear from you again
Your bike features in my Stafford Show video 👍 Regarding discharging batteries, some of my bikes are worse than others for static current draw, so I tend to disconnect those ones when unused for long periods.
always the same with those batteries, so damn annoying.... Ive got a bike someone else built and he put a sealed battery from an uninterruptable power supply or something like that in, you know the computer type with the little flat terminals. He put it behind a cut-off relay with a push button on the bars. You push the button and the system comes alive. This works absolutely amazingly. Ive had the bike for 10 years and most years I didn't even start it once. Never charged that battery. Yeah I know, pretty stupid to have a bike and just let it sit. Anyways it still lights up strong at the push of the button even though the garage is not heated. Truly amazing. 10 fing years....
great to have you back
Thank you for the interesting video I’m interested in buying a 955i Tiger, that I plan to customize after buying. As this is a vary rare bike in Italy, I can’t find information about it. Could you kindly tell the maximum width of the frame? I mean in the wider portion next to the air box. Or, if the tank has little space between the frame and the tank itself, I’d like to know the free space to mount it. I hope I’ve been clear, thanks for your kind reply.
Could you supply a complete rear wheel please I have a 250 bike with a 350 top end .. and it’s still has the 250 wheel Thanks Andy
Don't do it !!!
Dili dave are you OK never heard from you for a month
Hello Mr. Wright, I would like to ask you if know a place o people to adquire some components for 350 LC. I´m from Argentina and own one, but a time ago spark of engine is off and here is almost impossible to buy anything for this bike. Thank you very much in advance.
Get back to work.
Enjoy the break Dave, some lovely roads to try out up there 👍🏻
What's happened to the new Volvo DAVE.

What a good looking feller you are Dave… love ya stuff keep going mate it’s all good fun for us rd lovers 👌
You're always the first YT I look at each day. You and Norbo 'LC Crazy' and Allen Millyard, are the number one reason why my LC stays on the road. I always have it in mind that if I screw up big time, then Dave will help me out one way or another. When I got my RD350N2 3 years ago, I could not even get the right hand mirror off, I had a 2 foot scaffolding pole on it before I realised I was tightening it! Since then, I've wanted to help prevent others making the same mistake. I've also not been able to buy a replacement right hand mirror and leg fixings! I also cannot get the N2 Rev counter open, the glass is a bit 'fogged' on the inside. Maybe you could collect a list of the things we mess up the most on each LC version, e.g. I know we swap the carb. parts left to right too easily etc. and probably imbalance the carbs and oil pump every time we move them. I switched to Morris Lubricants Race C30 2T oil because it smells the closest to Castrol R that I can find. Not sure if anyone has done the same? I don't care if I have to rebuild my engine, as long as it has the proper burnt 'bean oil' smell! The sad thing is that this oil is 'clear' and I haven't yet found a dye that does not 'congeal' in it! My standard 'bean can' exhaust also needs 2 of the compressible gaskets each side to make the seal at the front (is that so bad? I've tried the coat hanger 'spacer' method, but not yet good enough. Also do I really have to cut the bean can off to replace the baffles? Or did Yamaha intend that I should go and get a Micron or Allspeeds etc? Do you have a method? No hurry, you take a break, you have done a massive amount of great content. (Ask us for suggestions and ideas?) Maybe you could take us on a test ride with your MT and any other LC for that matter? The Flying Yetti is a great example of doing that, but I appreciate he has put together very good filming equipment skills. I wonder if he could help you? Where there's a will, there's a way. I would love to know if my 'flat spot' between 4500 and 6000 is 'normal' or can be cured? At present, I just drop 2 gears, to bypass it, so no biggie. My engine runs clean from 6000 to 12000, which is 90% of what matters to me, just I get held up in traffic between 45mph and 60mph when a better mid-range would be a bonus. (Between 3000 and 4400, my engine is also perfect.) (I think the powervalve seals are 'leaking' and are the number one cause, with carb gunk / settings a close second). Sorry this got a bit long, I'm supposed to be working!
