i remember this episode fondly for how scary it was, always love it when the gang try to get a good night's sleep in a haunted place and the ghost works to ensure they don't get a goodnight's sleep

Yeah I used to find this episode boring, but it has interesting elements, like how the Jenkins tried to gaslight the gang.

this episode was certainly scary, being so high on narrow beams is scary enough without the ghosts, the way he appeared on top the of the mystery machine was very spooky

The next episode is my favorite of the whole series. I hope you enjoy it. 😎

Cass Elliot was a fun guest star but this was a weak episode.

I loved Speed Buggy because he was voiced by the legendary Mel Blanc.

And to think that Dick Van Dyke is one of the few TNSDM guest stars, That are still aive. Because the only ones left are Dick Van Dick, Cher and Sandy Duncan.

A series of incidents at the 3 Stooges Ghost Town western theme park was revealed to be the doings of property caretakers Amos Crunch and his accomplice Rhino, the result of illegal mining. It turns out there was a uranium deposit in the abandoned mines under the theme park discovered by Crunch, so he and Rhino came up with all sorts of hijinks to scare anyone away from the area. It is illegal to sell uranium to anyone besides the government, yet the duo planned to do it anyway. So they used the bat truck to smuggle the toxic valuables across the border for huge profits. Tyrone's malfunctions, the Indian dance and the robotic Gunslinger were recordings to cover up the sounds of their underground mining. Curly's pet bat Dingbat became agitated when the gang were in the mines and whenever Crunch came near her, as the radioactive dust on Crunch's clothes messed up her radar. It's also unknown how Amos and Rhino didn't get radiation poisoning from the uranium.

Hearing Don Adams's voice in this cartoon, along with the name "Chumley" being mentioned, I kept waiting for Tennessee Tuxedo to show up.

The Tim Conway episode was obviously inspired by a movie he starred in at the same time, called "The World's Greatest Athlete".

Cartoon Jeannie has red hair, so that it wouldn't be mistaken for Barbara Eden's Jeannie. Probably for legal reasons, like cartoon Ginger Grant being made a blonde instead of a redhead, ("The New Adventures of Gilligan" and "Gilligan's Planet".)

Corey: "How come you comb your hair before you go to bed?" Henry: "Well, you know. Like, in case I meet some chick in a dream. I wanna look good." Have to admit it. I found that amusing.

Did Alexandra call anyone a "beanbag" in this episode? If not, I'm disappointed. That was her "go to" insult on the original series.

At the end of the episode, they are shoveling the counterfeit money into the steamboat's furnace to keep the engines running. Umm... Isn't that destroying evidence?

Meadowlark Lemon visited my hometown back in the 90s for a speaking engagement. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to meet him. Before leaving, he presented signed basketballs to the mayor, the police chief, the fire chief, among others. Everyone I talked to said he was a nice man.

I seem to recall there was another character who was like Professor Flakey. I think his name was "Twisty", but I can't remember which cartoon he was on. He mixed up words just like Flakey.

Professor Flakey: "Walking through that water I felt like Crossington washing the Delaware, I mean Washington crossing the Delaware."

I guess I'm one of the few who prefers this episode over the "Mrs. Baker" episode.

If this is a country music hall, why would there be a xylophone around? I can't think of any country song that had xylophone music in it.

What does the Red Baron have against corn on the cob? If he was really a ghost, you'd think he'd haunt an airport instead of a cornfield.

Someone told me that Davy Jones did a cameo on SpongeBob SquarePants. A gag involving "Davy Jones's Locker". An inside joke that parents would recognize but would go over the children's heads.

Even with a red-haired wig, Sandy and Daphne don't look enough alike for the villain to mistake the two. I talked to a policeman and mentioned that most criminals are dumb. He said to me, "Thank goodness for that. It makes my job easier when they're stupid."

I prefer The Munsters over the Addams Family. Too bad Scooby Doo never met up with them.

The title card shows Davy Jones with a straw hat and cane. Not exactly the type of getup you'd expect a rock star to be sporting.
