Imagine if there was a mod where Peppino was Sonic and The Noise was Mario. Instead of acting like a showoff, Mario would probably wave to to the audience, childishly stick his tounge out at Sonic, etc.

I love how Mario and Sonic are sometimes competitive with one another but chill and nice to each other as well. You nailed that here to be honest.

The Green Hill version of the Noise arena reminds me of that old Mario vs Sonic flash animation with multiple endings.
This has what crazed starman doesn't, TENSION. This is way better too.
It does make sense why Mario's themes have less tension than Luigi's. Mario, when under pressure, remains cool and collected. But Luigi is more like Peppino in the regard that he is scared of anything and everything and is running for his life, but rather than letting his fear control him, he uses it as a motivation to do what must be done. I'm predicting that Sonics themes will be somewhat tense but mostly thrilling because defying death is just a thrill ride to Sonic.
I ran to this jam, and I am proud to report that it made me faster (for a time)
