On the BMV M5 vs MB E220d price point, I have been checking the pricing on both cars and E220 is at 2.1MZAR at the highest end of the specs and M5 after I had spec it to it highest spec was 2.9MZAR & without sun roof. For me M5 dropped the ball on the sun roof, on your comment on the fake exhaust system vents - I was so disappointed. But after watching your video I think I need to test drive both cars and see which one will melt my heart, and destroy the planet's Co2 tax; great review & well done on your award! Keep soaring🎉🎉!!

They need a CLE 63 AMG. The whole AMG range needs a brand-new suspension and gearbox. Maybe throw in some younger designers as well. That's the only way they are going to recover. Land Rover is making them look bad with the Octa

It's faster than it's main rivals (RS5 and M3comp) but it's too expensive and it's not special. Rather buy an Audi RS7 for that price.

One thing to point out with the power. While the ICE power is lower. The electric motor also kicks in when it’s needed to provide more power. I think it’s up to 70kW extra power from the electric motor in certain conditions

The C63 has always been my default choice, but this one leaves me cold. I'd say if I were to buy a car in this segment. It would be the criminally underrated Alfa Romeo Giulia Quad. And those go for much less than this.

That plastic interior for R2.4 million is a no. Look at old C63s and the interior is a step up. This is as bad as the other C Classes.

The overseas facelifted Corolla Cross has very nice new rim design (wished Toyota at least changed the rims). Also, the GR-S has a silver diffuser at the back and silver molding under the doors which looks very nice. Why did Toyota keep the GR-S the same!!?? Only the front lights were changed. And no red colour for the Xi, XS or XR??! I paid R430 000 for my XR with urban sport kit in 2022. Now a XR cost almost R100 000 more!

Great Review. Well done. I am complaining about some day-to-day things. I spent two weeks with a normal C220d AMG line (brand new) and I hated it. The build quality on these new cars is terrible. These are the issues I had: 1. The car is longer but smaller inside. Very surprisingly claustrophobic for such a big car. 2. I hated the lag on the windows. You press and it doesn’t go immediately. The windows will never stop where you want them to. 3. The vents and housing for the air vents and SOS/Sunroof module creaked when I drove on bad paving. And the plastic is not nice to touch. Feels toyish. The key is also very hard to press for some reason. You’ll get blisters holding it to close the windows. 4. The car seats. Not as comfortable, gets dirty easily and the fabric-looking leather holds so much heat under your bums. 5. The car squeaked sometimes when I got in or pushed the seat with my back. I whey 90kg. 6. The wireless carplay/android auto is nonsense. It’s great to use but after an hour or two it will either disconnect or the screen freezes, even with high end phones. I love this feature, and it has been disappointing, especially with that nice screen. It gets more infuriating because they often stop connecting altogether. I asked about this and a lot of people have this problem. 7. It feels very fragile to drive, like it would break every time you put it under stress. If I had these stupid issues after spending 2 million+ and upgrading to a C63s, I would burn something to the ground.

Here’s my take, this car is a great vehicle, however it was introduced at the wrong time, if maybe they introduced a V6 for the w206 then double down on a 4c on the w207, maybe the community would be less harsh on them. That way they would match up with their rivals as they did the same in the past. A right thing at the wrong time can become a wrong thing, time is relative.

This car is disappointing for me,it has too much power a 500kw but the less powerful BMW M3CS out paces this car from start to finish and it doesn't even come close. I'm sure even the way less powerful BMW M3 comp xDrive would keep up with this car. It's also too expensive for what it is. But it does look beautiful.

This is honestly an amazing car but I feel like Mercedes unwillingly set it up for failure, mainly because of the badge, the spec & the starting price. They essentially want the customer to pay for their experiment. I also feel like this is going to be the fastest depreciating C63 we’ve ever seen. In 2 years you might get one for even less than R1mil. I hope this serves as a lesson to Mercedes & other brands that if you don’t listen to your hardcore customers, you’re just setting yourself up for failure. Amazing review by the way🙌🏽🤝
