I do not own this recording. Pianist: Louis Lortie I hope whoever watches this gets as much out of it as they can. I'm thinking of doing a video essay on the piece as a whole, but that will take some time. Until then, enjoy some personal notes!

This cue has got to be one of my favorites by John Williams. The deep and mechanical rhythmic pulse, pantriadicism, pedal points, atonalism, and flurries of rich orchestral texture are reminiscent of 20th century composers such as Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Shostakovich, and Holst. Enjoy! I own nothing in this video.

In the recording at 1:06, the top line was played as F-D#-D#-E, then F-D#-D#-F.
(Self correction) 5th note at 0:45 should be an F#.
