I think anyone can have any bike as their first one. As long as you respect the bike, it should be okay. I have a xj6n, was my first bike, had it for 6 months, love it. im now looking for something else, 78hp was great and enough power but if im going to spend 10-14k on a bike, ill get the best in the range, providing it fits my needs, comfort etc. I have ridden a z1000 and an s1000r, again, took me a couple minutes to get used to the snappiness off the throttle and harder clutch, but then was all okay.

If you want to hear a bunch of crazy ass rambling, you have found a home.

I agree, I just p/x my 2017 zx10r for a new tmax 560. Same.reasoms, 200bhp is way too much for any road, as only using less than 50% of its potential nearly all the time. Passengers are a no no, and always afraid of getting scratched or damaged. So I love the tmax it's, practical, fast, packed with loads of toys and looks amazing. So I made the right decision

For the front fender which year did you use to replace the OEM grey one? Was the 2020 using the exact same fender as 2019-2016?

I have a tuono factory 2018 and a 09 r1 , the tuono is a better everyday bike but the Big Bang will always put a smile on ur face the noise and grunt are addictive as is the tuono variety is the spice of life 👌👌👌👌👌

Sorry late to the party, good review sir but the R1 is really a track bike that can be ridden on the street. I'm 46 and own a 2020 and I love it! I have no back issues( but I also take care of myself physically) but it is rough on the wrists( its a sport bike!). One thing I completely disagree with and take offense is the part where you said people buy these bikes for attention? I've been riding for over 25 years and have had friends and knew people who bought sports to get girls and etc but there are people like myself who are enthusiast and love motorcycles and motorcycle racing it's our passion and I honestly I careless of what people think of me? Shit they probably say I'm too"old" to be riding sport bikes lol. Anyway my two cents, and don't forget it's a sport bike. It's like driving a Ferrari and complaining it's uncomfortable (it's supposed to be uncomfortable 🙃)

Like you my last bike was a naked (990 Superduke) and I'm in my forties too and it was a tough decision going back to sportsbikes but this will be my first bike with electronic aids and it's videos like yours that tell me paying that bit extra over a 10yr old Gixxer could mean I keep this bike longer. 👌🏼

What you explained about getting bored is the same as many other interests, 'GAS' (Gear acquisition syndrome) lol. Aka us humans are never happy with what we got and always fall victim to magpie(atitus) with other bikes and stuff. I still love my s1kr.... but some of the other bikes around does make you look. Loved the video btw. :)

My 2017 looks same as yours only with full Akra, track pack etc. Heated grips also which were extra, they also have illuminated switches which the 2020 version doesent. I am 5 ft 7 but bike lowered quarter of inch it’s perfect no problems For me also best bike I have ever ridden. Bought after selling my 2015 version but still hate the look of the 2020 bike so won’t be changing.

It's a very stupid way to review this bike these are the roads that you go on to get to where you're going to ride. Any super sport that anyone makes would suck in driving conditions like this.

I don't recommend this bike to someone with short arms. Me personally I'm 6 ft with long legs and arms and this bike is actually just as comfortable in my opinion as my GSXR 600.

I'm buying a 2022 R1 for the sound it makes. Weekend loud AF and fast toy.

Its going to be my next bike for sure 😎
