I believed my boyfriend wanted to be in a serious relationship with me, wanted to marry me possibly and have kids. Covid hits he moves in and after half a year intimacy stops, everything has to be his way 'mind you he moved into my home not the other way around' we never do anything outside of home that is fun, he only wants to find excuses not to....Its "my shoulder, my back, I don't feel up to it, to hot outside, we don't have the "$10.00 to spend on a date every weekend. After he went got himself fired, he lays about, sleeps all day, refuses to attand church acting like an atheist, something I did not want in an relationship. We are both Orthodox Christian but he doesn't act like it. My parents no longer accept anything from him and said not to marry the Douchebag-Manipulative Manchild, my friends say I have been more than accommodating and more than given him time to step up-be a real man and I was optimistic. When he says lets do something tomorrow.....never happens. Its all even after he lost his job my responsibility to maintain my homw how his mom would......we aren't even engaged. I don't love him anymore like I did at beginning. He lied about not smoking, lied he was a Orthodox Christian and followed the lifestyle, He makes commitment but never follows through. He acts like he wants a mother figure not a girlfriend and that anything I want is not going to happen in relationship if I'm not at his beckon call being a mother-maid. I did not sign up for any of this. I said lets go to Institute of Arts, his repl "No we don't have the money" fyi it only costs $5.00 bucks that is not alot at all. Then he goes off claiming he is saving.....saving for what? He promised after moving in the front closet would become a pantry so we would have more kitchen space a year+ later hasn't followed through, promised to make garden trellis hasn't done that either, or the dog ramp....noPe still hasn't done that. My family and I are close he is not close with his family. Its become a "We'll believe it when we see it" towards the bs that comes out of his mom. I'm nit gonna lay around all day on a weekend and not go out and have fun. I refuse to be stuck home and him say "What you want to do" = Him: Only interested in gaming, sleeping and tv repeat same ol' nothing spontaneous, nothing fun, or he is lets go walking at park......gets ol' all this boring repetitive garbage. Why should I in my own home allow this man who acts like a child when I call him out not step up and own up make what littl is left work. I wanted the relationship to work but I just cant keep fooling myself, he won't change. If I say lets do what we promised my parents we'd do....turns into a battle with him saying "He never wanted to go have your parents do it" Next year I plan to kick him out, I don't believe he is saving for us I 100% believe its a lie. I let him stay because I felt bad that our dogs are bonded after they meet. However I will not let a man who can't more so refuses to do house work here and yet live here in my house rent free and pay absolutely no bills with such behavior stay. When I realized he was not stepping up I said pay bills or get out. He pays Electric and Internet......funny cause he's the one raking up the bills with his giant computer and gaming. I made it clear from day one I wanted a serious relationship and not a casual. If he can help his ex and her mom pay phone bills for then 5 months in I found out, yet go off and blame me for him having money issues. When I not him let him move in and pay not his fair share in bills for living with me and he owed them nothing. I had no choice that was cheating on me putting money to help an ex, but not towards us. I don't trust him, and he complains he cooks and does his dishes and his own laundry. Well he does nothing else to help or show we are a team so gonna treat him like a roommate not playing games with manchild....step up or get out. Society creates these insecure attached to mommas tit childish-manipulative narrcistic men. They want perfect girlfriend, but don't think they have to be an mature serious committed adult in relationship that they just don't want to be alone, and look for a mother figure not a girlfriend who'll take care of them like their mom and be like her. I see him as a waste of time and space. If he'd not have a pet last year I'd tell him to get outta my house and dump his a### he's an pathetic excuse of a 36 male got no balls and is useless lier and manipulative insecure type who blames anyone but himself for his behavior. I have paid for Relationship Therapy thats $500 of my not his money to try and make it work. But I have already given up. I don't need a man in my life and rather be single then lied to, manipulated and used, I want to enjoy life and not be stuck in my home every weekend. Am I over reacting its been 1 year 11 months. I know I deserve better I want him gone but I want to protect his dog from him because I take care of her where as he doesn't and since he lost his job sleeps all day.
