Said nothing about elbow torque. Tonkin threw more 4FB, less 2FB and learned a sweeper. Again nothing mechanical thats obvious but if you have anything can you link? @kneebarx idk if you can blame Blake for them getting hurt just because theyre hurt. Guys all across baseball are hurt on a weekly basis. Schmidt had TJS in 2017, missed time in 2021, only called up in September. King fractured his elbow, idk how if you can put that on Blake either. Think throwing a baseball overhand is a very unnatural thing to do and from earlier ages they're encouraging kids to throw as hard as physcially possible, never taking time off to play other sports through the year, and putting velo above all. These things will happen. Should look at the routine Trevor Bauer and now Paul Skenes have been using, much more plyometrics and focused on flexibility more than power and lifting weights. Worked for Bauer, only injury of note was the drone slicing his finger and Skenes seems like an adonis of pitching or someshit.

You have to take risks late in the 1st round most of the time. Yanks will buy middle of rotation guys, but the true aces have to be high risk high upside types. I know hes hated but they should find out wtf Bauer did to workout he pitched more innings almost each year and throws a few MPH harder now than when he came up .Skenes uses similar workouts, even if its just to get his regiment for staying fit they should bring him and learn.

Its an awful angle but there looks to be wicked movement late on the FB. Blake has a type, as weve seen w Weaver and now Tonkin, so it wouldnt surprise me if his does as well. Could be camera playing tricks though.
