You are fortunate that your company trains you. I'm assuming you are talking about software. My company just loads it and says "here you go. There are videos on TH-cam". Like thanks for nothing. And I hate learning new programs. It is amazing you have had a friend that long. Very rare. People just grow up in different directions. I envy you. I hope the bachelorette get together went will. I looked, there is a Crumble the next town north from where I live. Only about 2 or 3 miles. I will have to find it. That apple cinnamon cookie looks really tasty. Can you buy just one cookie? I have a thing with cookies and nachos. I can't bring them home or they are gone in one sitting. Those fortunately are the only two things. I bought new sheets the last Prime Day. This one was filled with all sorts of different stuff. Love it. It probably doesn't matter now, but I know AAA has bridge insurance. I think you said you had AAA. I can only speak for Virginia. Not sure about Maryland where I'm at now, or California. I think it was designed mostly for when you buy a new car and need to shop around for insurance. I'm sure it gives them a chance to push their own insurance, but it helps for other purposes. The desk looks nice. Have you considered a wall mounted monitor, especially a white or light color one. It would at least keep it off of the desk if you decide you need it. When your vision changes like you described it is probably dry eye. I have the same issue. Seem like your vision is not very focused. If it does it again you might try some drops. If it gets better after you moisten your eyes you'll know. That leather bag is worth saving. It's really nice. I would try another leather shop. The guy you talked to seemed like he didn't want to do any small jobs. If you can't find another leather shop you can also try a saddlery. Some work leather. You're not alone with your struggle to work out, diet, intermittent fasting, all that stuff. I struggle with it too. It's hard to keep up with such things. One reason I do look forward to winter is when I can't do things outside I have an easier time sticking to it. Best time to get fit for me. Most people are opposite.

Some interesting choices. You may wish you thinned the list down before you did this, but we'll see. I should probably set up a Goodreads account. I've never really looked at it but seeing what you showed it looks like a good way to keep track of books along with the reviews. I can never remember the books I run across that I think might be good. I listened (audiobook) to The Great Gatsby recently. My nephew tattooed it on his arm so he obviously loved it. Also F. Scott Fitzgerald is buried in Rockville, Maryland near where I work. So I felt I needed to "read" it. However I didn't love it. Great writing but the story seemed kind of shallow, but most people seem to love it. I'm curious what you think of it when you get to it.

Welcome back! Glad P is healing up nicely. Can't imagine what it is like to be stuck in a cone. Hope you are enjoying nice weather. We are still getting day after day of rain from hurricane Helena. I think it breaks tomorrow. Just finished reading Sleepy Hollow for the spooky season. Never read the actual book so I figured why not. Good book but a bit of hard read. It is old American English. However while reading it I knocked over a 32 oz cup of water and my computer fell victim to the unfortunate event. Just set the new one up last night. Are you removing the realist hand tattoo or has it faded? I know it's much lighter than the other hand.

Nice place. Its great that you were able to take P along this time. It looks like a great place to hike. Did the thinner air give you a headache at all? Ever notice the size and height of mountains never seems to translate to video or pictures. I wonder why. Perspective I guess. Never been to a Himalayan restaurant before. Sounded interesting so I Googled it to see what it was like. Mostly Indian with some twists. Closest one is in Washington DC. I'll have to try it out sometime. I may be wrong, but at 11:44 that may be a bald eagle over your shoulder. I see them when I kayak but I couldn't quite see it clear enough in the video. You outdid me on the suitcase. I traveled two weeks ago and mine still lays on the floor at the end of my bed with only 3 items still in it. It's just sad.

Totally understand not finishing "Too Late". One of my favorite books, and movies, is "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and the two that follow, because it has the best character development I've read/seen. However I would be hesitant to recommend it to someone else because Lizbeth goes through so much abuse of various kinds. I really liked here character and it all makes you understand why she is how she is, which is pretty extreme. Very involved story. Sam Hell sounds interesting. I have heard about it from one of my friends who also liked it a lot.

Tried Cava this weekend. I had the braised lamb as you suggested. So much flavor. I had a pita wrap this time. So many new flavors to try. Looking forward to it. I love arugula so I'd like to try the bowls as well. Thank you for the recommendation. Good one!

I'm glad you are going to a specialist for your headaches. Just from your videos you seem to get them more than you should have to live with. I know there are things they can do to at least lessen them. They did when I was a kid, but all I remember is that the pill I took for a few months was blue. It however made a big difference. That is also when I used cafergot that I told you about. This one is out there, but what is on the other side of the brown door in your back yard? I assume an alley of some kind. I always clean my desk and shop before a holiday as well. I hate coming back to a mess after time off. However if you call that cluttered ...ah...ok. No comment. Enjoy your vacation. Well deserved. That challenge has a lot of potential to be very time consuming. Wouldn't have been too bad if you counted the extra pages you read on the easy days. I do think it adds to a book when they add maps and letters. Have to be careful as an adult not to say give me illustrations, but just a little bit is nice. I told someone today to put their Kindle on airplane mode so the book doesn't disappear before they are finished. They didn't think about that. I was wondering if the library or whomever knows that the book "wasn't returned"? I'm assuming not but I don't really know. Sounds like Holly Jackson's books have a lot of suspense and mystery. Good combo. I'll be checking her out.

Fall is definitely coming here. It was 58 yesterday morning and 60 this morning. Warmed up into the 70s. So nice. I heard that for migraines if you put your feet in the hottest water you can handle it will cause blood in the head to move down toward the feet. A doctor said it, but I question it, but if you try it let me know. It kind of makes sense but I don't know. Just throwing it out there. I usually take sick leave if I get a migraine. Fortunately it isn't as often as it used to be. I hope P does ok with all the medical procedures. Have a great weekend.

I didn't know there was a Kindle app for the phone. I'll have to look into that. That would be useful. Glad P didn't hurt himself too much. How old is he now? Does he have any arthritis in his back? I looked up Cava. There is one in the town I live in and one in the town I work in. Looks really good. I love lamb so that I will definitely have to try out. Thanks for the recommendation. One thing you might want to try that is growing around here is Frisbee Golf. Its usually free depending on where you go. A lot of parks have courses. It's cheap and a good thing to do with small groups. It's not intimidating at all so its easy to get people to try it. I've only played three times I think. Plus you walk a lot and it gets you outside. I finished the Housemaid. I give it 4 stars. The story was great (5 stars). The imagery was great (5 stars), but her writing ability was 3 stars at the most. You've mentioned that before. She needs to hire a good editor. But I enjoyed it. A good story and an easy read.

It is a good idea to get back to an early bird person. You get so much more done in the morning. I'm a 6 am and 7 am on the weekend person. I told you my nephew's wife (Savannah) is a reader and editor for a publishing company. Apparently she is now a published writer. She has been writing a book for the last two years. Who knew! Has to be a good book that can make you cry like that. I know it was a romance, but was it a comedy as well? I can't imagine how something like that would work unless it was a comedy. Glad all is well. I have a physical coming up as well. I have a "doctor notes" on my desktop that I keep updated. It has past and current medical issues along with meds, supplements, etc. Doctors always seem to love that I do that. I mostly do that because I have brackets, 1/5 of my patella missing, things like that. Just to keep track of it all for myself is difficult unless I write it all down. I don't see the link for the recipe. I'm trying to make things more myself instead of buying treats. So any good and tried recipes are worth trying.

I did see the movie but that was too long ago and I don't remember it well enough to say if it is different. How did you rate The House Maid, the first book? I started to read it on a plane flight and haven't gotten back to it.

I did a slight edit and my comment disappeared. So I'll type it again. Only one of the people at work had an issue with the worldwide IT issue. They got the blue screen of death. Fortunately I have seen that in many years. I don't know how people commute an hour or more each way to work. It would drive me crazy. I feel fortunately that I only live 6.5 miles from work so my commute is pretty short. You didn't seem too excited by Cujo. I assume you'll say something in your monthly review. I have a feeling we'll agree more or less on it. We'll see. Castle Rock is also available on Amazon. I've watch most if not all of Season 1. Pretty good.

Ticking those books off. I like the fact that your pool has a back rest. Is it comfortable? Were all the Stephen King stories in that book scary? I haven't read anything scary in quite a while. There is a corpse flower I've seen and smelled at the botanical garden in Washington DC. Very strong unpleasant smell when they bloom. They make it an event. Took my Kindle on a flight to South Carolina this past week. I have NEVER been able to read on a plane, but with the Kindle I have no problems. Must be the back lighting. That was a true pleasure. Have you ever tried doggy ear muffs for P? Might help if you can get him to wear them. If you do ever write a book let me know. My nephew's wife is a reader/rewriter for a publisher. They mostly help people self publish and guide them through it.

LACMA was pretty cool. I'd like to see more places like that. I do like art museums on my own. That garage immersion was pretty interesting. Did it have that old garage smell? Without the heavy dust I don't know if you can really simulate that, but with a little bit of gear oil, oil and miscellaneous stuff, maybe. Was that a single artist that did that. I wish traffic could move like that track. Kujo, I've actually read. Interested in what you think. Did I ever tell you I met Stephen King during a house tour of Montpelier (James Madison's house). If not, him and his wife and I were a small group on the tour. I didn't interact with him. People don't get that, but I don't get star struck at all really. I didn't want to bug him. I see the big advantage to having artificial grass. You don't need to worry about killing it by putting a pool on it and leaving it during the summer. Big plus. Hope you enjoy it. Does P get in?

I do think a lot of authors have a hard time writing the full range of ages, especially younger characters. If you liked that audio book with sounds and actors, you should check out radio dramas. There are tons of them. BBC still makes new ones. I listen to them at work quite a bit.

Ouch! 2 stars. That is a shame the series ended so badly. Seemed to be a real trudgery to get through. Shouldn't be like that for such a long book. That section you described about the king was a definite eye roller. I'm surprised P lets you read so long without bugging you. You need to read a few short good books to keep motivated.
