Its called a death clause which is in the bands record contract. Make no mistake its just a coincedence that Cobain, Staley, Weiand,Cornell,Bennington etc. are gone. Nothing to see there folks!
What a load of shit. Three renowned junkies and two manic depressives. They're like the poster children for suicide and overdoses. In no world could you say Nirvana, Soundgarden and Linkin Park are more valuable with those three dead. If Cobain was alive and Nirvana suddenly reformed, it would be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Staley was voice and very little to do with the AiC song writing where he shared lead vocal duties. Compare to Staley, Weiland was a bigger cog in STP but never wrote music and often collaborated with lyrics. Stop talking out your ass. Death clause....what a joke.

I'm a huge Scott Weiland fan so I am grieved anytime I am reminded that STP is moving along without him. I must admit though that this guy is a great singer, but he is not even close to being the performer that Scott was. The stage persona that Weiland was able to embody particuarly during his earlier years is legendary and simply untouchable, so it's not to be expected.
I LOVE Him ❤️. He had a really good personality and was so funny. Miss him so much 😢 I watch the House of Blues concert just to remember ❤
No one is going to replace Scott just like Bon Scott. He just needs to be who he is. He can carry the vocals and that's what matters.
