Hey, spooky season fans! Thinking about heading to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? You’re in the right place! This guide has all the deets on Disney’s top Halloween bash at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Let’s dive into prepping for the 2024 event!
#### Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - The Essentials
This event takes over Magic Kingdom on select nights from August to October (sometimes even November!). It’s a ticketed event, running from 7:00 PM to midnight, but party-goers can enter as early as 4:00 PM.
#### 2024 Dates & Prices
The party will be held 37 times in 2024, from August 9 through October 31. Tickets range from $119 to $199 (before tax) and can be snagged directly from Disney or through Undercover Tourist.
#### Lightning Lanes at the Party
No Lightning Lanes during party hours (7PM to 12AM). If you’re only holding a party ticket, it’s hit or miss whether you can buy Lightning Lanes for the pre-party time (4PM - 6PM). We think trying to fit these into that short window might not be worth it.

- **Roaming Characters & Park Vibes**: Spot characters wandering the park.
- **Ride Overlays**: Some rides get a festive makeover.
- **Dance Parties**: Perfect for kids (and kids at heart) to dance with characters.
- **Trick-or-Treating**: Score candy at stations throughout the park.
- **Food & Merchandise**: Exclusive treats and goodies to remember the night.
- **Regular Rides**: Many classic rides will be running too, but we suggest focusing on the unique party attractions.
#### Costumes
Guests of all ages can dress up! Just follow a few rules:
- **Adults (14+)**: No full-body costumes or lengthy capes.
If you’re not into dressing up, no biggie-half the adults there won’t be in costume either. But it’s a great chance to pull out that Disney cosplay you’ve been saving!
#### Managing Crowds
Crowds can be intense, but here’s how to navigate them:
- **Weekday Party**: Less crowded than weekends.
- **Far from Halloween**: Earlier dates are usually less packed.
- **Arrive Early**: Enter as close to 4PM as possible to maximize your time.
- **10PM Not-So-Spooky Spectacular**: Always crowded because it’s the only showing.
- **Parade & Show Timings**: Later shows have lighter crowds.
#### Arrival & Wristbands
You need a special event ticket for this bash. Magic Kingdom kicks out non-party guests at 6PM, so if you’re there for the day, be prepared for an early exit or grab a wristband at the designated spots.
#### Trick-Or-Treating
There are about a dozen candy spots, scattered around the park. Look for the Allergy Friendly Centers if needed. While it’s fun, consider it a lower priority-lines move fast, and you can easily fit it in later in the evening.
