@kornhead37 i got an airbag light, but i had the entire 2nd row and front passenger seat removed at same time. Also get a restraints message in ford pass app.

@@KenKyleRacing So I feel like an idiot. First I found that I neglected to plug in one of the connectors on the DC Conroller PWB (J115). That didn't fix it. Looked again and I had the cable for J120 inserted into J106 (Duh!). Now it boots up just fine but the print is very light. I probably blew something up or do I need to do something else? Thanks again for all of your help.

@RDawg-p7d i did one yesterday and forgot to plug two plugs on back of lower hvps board back in. Go to information menu and troubleshooting menu and find PPQ troubleshooting pages. It will print full pages of each color. Could be a cartridge issue or could be the upper high voltage board not quite seated properly on the connector springs.

@@KenKyleRacing I did the PQ trouble shooting and it printed everything faint. I rechecked the HV board and it seems to be seated properly on the springs. I am afraid that by plugging a cable into the wrong connector I messed up something. I am thinking about "shotgunning" the problem with a DC controller and HV PWB assemblies. Any more thought on that? If I want to buy some assemblies do you have a recomendation on where I should get them? There seems to be many on Ebay. Thanks again for your help.

@RDawg-p7d we used to use partsnow, not sure they are in existence anymore, but if not I'd try to find it on amazon since their return policy is excellent. My money would be on the upper hvps, the dc controller doesn't really have anything to do with image quality.

@2l8and1 after reinstalling solenoid did you reach down with a pick or something and push on the solenoid arm to get it seated properly? If that isn't the issue I'd reseat all the ribbon cables at the bottom left of the dc controller board.

It seems to be seated. When Rotating the motor I see the solenoid stopping the gear. Heading back in from lunch to take another peek. Thanks for the fast reply !!!

@2l8and1 I've never seen that code be permanent before, so if it wasn't there before it is related to one of the cables not being seated or being damaged. It's usually the main drive assembly or the lower high voltage board that cause it, and both of those ribbon cables plug into bottom left of dc controller. It's really easy to damage the contacts on end of the ribbon cables.

Found it ! Good call. 1 plug wasn't fully seated. Error gone. Printing great !

I did not skip. I opened it and closed it somehow at some point prior to installing the part. Yes, I messed up 😂 I am just trying to make sure no one else does what I did !

I've never seen anything on replacing belt alone on any of the hp models.

@@KenKyleRacing Yeah, even HP repair manuals do not have instructions for replacing the belt separately; so that's an unofficial repair. I cannot post a direct link to the video because of TH-cam filters, but the best and newest video (in Russian) I found is titled as follows: Hp Color LaserJet M252 замена плёнки переноса изображения You can skip to 14:25 where he disassembles the ITB unit and replaces the belt itself. It's quite finicky and the belt is quite fragile - a slip of the screwdriver is unforgivable. Unfortunately, it is not always visible what exactly he's doing, but at least it shows the general idea. If the belt can get damaged that easily by paper and toner dust, manufacturers should make it user-replaceable as a disposable. I'm all for rights-to-repair :)

@H4_810 roll races aren't really the strong point of ST's.

@RyanHacecky probably didn't get one of the plastic things on side of printer inserted correctly. I had one where i didn't seat either properly and ended up having to replace the belt. Those plastic pieces that go into side of transfer belt are what controls the engagement of the charge rollers. One for black and the other is for colors.

@@sergevilmar7853 might have been sold a faulty fuser drive. I'd pull it out and check the solenoid. Have hundreds of this model, many close to a million pages, solenoid has been only cause of the error that i have ever seen.

@sergevilmar7853 I've never seen one throw that error where it was not a sticky solenoid or out of place solenoid in the fuser drive assembly.

@davidpatterson1176 they're solid machines, i have several in my area with over a million clicks. Outside of this solenoid the only other thing that commonly fails is the splines on the cartridge drive motors around 700k clicks. They'll make a grinding noise long before they fail most of time.

2 weeks later began to have problems again. No 59.F0 messages but now started with a 59.A0 error and paper got stuck coming up the right side like the 59.F0 code did, then worked a couple copies now a solid 59.90 error message. When starting up you can hear it like a stalling sound and no longer makes its normal calibration sounds and goes from 2/6 to 3/6 really quick to 5/6 then after 6/6 it goes to the 59.90 error code. Shut it down for about 20 minutes, came up ready this time and then the paper quit coming out of the top tray with the 59.A0 error again. Turned off and recalibrated but stopped with the 59.90 error again. It was working great for about 2 weeks. Does it sound like I have to rip it apart again and change the full fuser drive assembly this time? Hate to do it but have about 12 cartridges for this machine and really like it when it works. Just hoping that would be the final time to rip it apart bc it looks hard getting that drive assembly out and back in. Hoping the cost of the assembly is not wasted but did try the ITB and seems to be working ok as the white wing does move back and forth. Your thoughts since round 1 did not hold? Thanks in advance. I failed to mention that when I fix it the last time with your method, I used a piece of Gorilla tape for the tape to replace the sticky foam and did perfectly clean both the base and the little arm so I would not think the tape came lose or would assume I would have got the 59.F0 message and not the now 59.90 message. I could not find any good advice for a 59.90 message only other 59.XX messages (XX meaning found other 59. something errors but not the 59.90 error. Thanks again.. Davae

@davidpatterson1176 manual points to fuser drive for both errors. I've never had to replace a fuser drive tho.

@falinism i would double check all the wires and make sure they are all fully plugged in. Most likely there is just one plug not pushed all the way in.

@@brianbeyer7681 intercooler and tune and pullling seats out would get it real close. All the other stuff is a lot of money for tiny little gains

@lollipop84858 race box gave me a full tenth quicker time than i ever ran with dragy. I sent racebox back and still am using dragy to this day because it can't be manipulated like racebox times.
