Bass Fishing at Clear Lake. Had GoPro issues all day, didn't film much. Slow day but these are some of the bass that we caught. What part of cachuma were you fishing
Can’t wait to catch a fish on the top water. I’ve been hit twice but never actually hooked one.
What was ur rig setup? 1 split shot…12-14inches leader..and a single size 12 hook?
I used 5-6 feet 8lb floro leader to braid. I used a dropshot rig with hook size 2 and 4. I just started using split shot weights as the weight because I lost my dropshot rig almost every other cast to the brush.

What are the best areas to fish on the lake? I’m going there mid july
I haven't been there since 2022. I heard the water is really high. I just like to fish near the entrance to the right.

They spawn a little before like the end of feburary- end of march

El Dorado point for trout and bass. Harvey's bay is a general good spot for bass.

Anything over 15 pound line for brushy areas. I’m throwing 15 lb line.

Yeah, got lots of little ones every spot we fished. Bigger fish were found around wood.

@@seannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Me and my dad found it because there was that long log on the bottom of the bank and and fished from 4 to 6 and the trout were biting like crazy on just a Carolina rig and two feet of liter line with a size 6 hook on a worm but every time we had a fish on it would get a stuck on branches under the water that we cant see and we ended up losing two fish and a bunch of hooks do have and tips for landing a fish in this situation.
@@MP__Fishing I usually try to pull the trout out real quick from the brush zone and then fight it. If it gets stuck, I loosen the line, and let the trout pull itself out. I retied after every fish.

We caught them on alot of different colors but the standard white belly and slightly bigger frog got bit more.
