Im not using a visualizer Im programming on my actual rig. For reference my rig consists of DS Truss: 8 Chauvet R2X Washes 15 Channel Mode MS Truss: 6 R2X Washes / 6 Chauvet Force S Spots - 29 channel mode / 4 Chauvet Color Strike M's -24 channel mode US Truss: 6 R2X Washes / 4 Force S Spots - 29 channel mode Ground Pack is Currently: 6 Elation Platinum Spot 5R Pros - Standard mode. Any help is appreciated

FYI I love the file, it has raised my lighting show up several levels ... I do love it

Hey, Thank you so much for the great feedback and your comments! I see, so probably there is and issue with the main / sub fixtures + the PMG usage. This can be a bit tricky as there are so many complex fixture types out there. But we will do a Tipps & Tricks video on this soon and also use Color Strike M's here as an example :-)

Hey, vielen lieben Dank für deinen Kommentar und das super Feedback <3 Hmm da gibt es leider nicht so viele Tricks außer die Dinge z.B. mit dem Import / Export Menü von MA3 (Show Creator Menü) zu transferieren. Also wenn man hier sehr viel Dinge für sich als Default angelegt hatte. Hierzu haben wir bisher noch kein Video geplant. Aber ich habe das mal auf unser (leider recht lange) Ideen Liste mit aufgenommen. Das mit den Shapes is tricky, wir benutzen hier normalerweise einfach nochmal extra Sequenzen in einem Seq Pool der als Toggel oder so aufgelegt ist, um hier noch ein wenig mehr Flexibilität für Shapes oder auch andere Lampen-interne Macros zu bekommen :-) Aktuell sind wir der Meinung dass eine volle Integration in das Showfile / Busking Layout nicht zielführend ist, da es zu viele verschiedene Lampen mit unterschiedlichen Funktionalitäten gibt.

I see, so I am not sure if I got you right 100% but there is also a macro tool set to store busking looks into sequences :-) But this is then recipe based so the busking layout won't be active anymore (so no changes in the layout views). Hey, thanks for your comment! There is no special area for this. If you want to use split colours within a fixture group, you could adapt the seq / cue recipes and use the last 3-4 seqs of our colour picker, for example. If you want to save global looks, for example spots on red and washes on green, you can do this with the Impact Looks / Virtual Preselect Layouts of the new ULTRA version. This will be out on Sunday. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your comment. So in the meantime there a so many fixtures which behave different. In the end it is impossible to cover it all with macros, but it should be easy to fix when we understand the fixture profile. So the problem with Aura XIP is not the Macro from the file. Check the manual of the Aura: It says "Beam Pixel color (Pixel Color Control of 7 x Beam LEDs, Global Beam RGB channels are added to this using HTP)". This HTP merge creates an issue here. So simply adjust your fixture profile and set the default values of the Global Beam RGB channels to 0. Then you will get control over the single pixels. Let me know if this works for you. We and some other friends are happy with that way of using them :-) Hope this helps!

@@jerrodmichael8049 Hmm no, it works! 🙂 Have you looked at the fixture profile? What kind of behavior do you get? All white and 100% on or black? Please describe in more detail what is not working / what you are experiencing 🙂. As already described, it does not work as shown in the video, but you have to look at what the default values are and what the fixture profile looks like.

Just a note too but when I look at the dimmer button on the layout view it says that it is for the group where you label, and not store your fixture arrangement. Is this by design? My lights won’t turn on unless I go in and edit the recipe

Hey! Thanks for your comment! So there is a small hint on the end of the tutorial showing a use case of the Sym Rig B group. You can use Sym Rig B as an alternative FX group with a different selection grid arrangement. Special Groups are there to use them with the Special Positions to put some fixtures on a position without FX. We will do a Tipps and Tricks video probably in September on this! Hope this helps.

Hey! Let me explain this real quick: The macro does 2 things: 1. it assigns the desired view to the view button 2. it calles the desired view. That's basically it :-) Does this makes sense to you?

Which fixture profile would be interesting for you? :-)

You have to adapt all the appearances which are used for those sequences. The easiest way we normally use is to simply patch an RGB fixture as dummy if we only habe color wheel fixtures…

Hey! So there is no direct way implemented to achieve E/O colors. The first workaround is like you already described to just store the fixtures in E/O groups separately. I would recommend the following workaround: Simply use the E/O bump sequence and use them with a toggle. Then you can force the E or O part of your rig to use the FX color. Hope this helps! :-)

Hey, thank you so much for your comment and the great feedback! Regarding your questions: 1. We are not 100% sure what you mean by „space is in the back and and grid in the front“. Can you explain this further and maybe tell us the time of the section in the video? 2. Depending on the version (LITE / PRO / ULTRA) there are 4 to 8 groups for different fixturre types in the showfile. If you are using more complex types like the Color Strike or JDC 1 / Lines, we simply use more than one group for them. Because in the end that’s the basic idea behind those fixtures. For example giving you a Strobe and a Wash fixture at the same time. So we store the Strobe elements to our A category and the Wash elements to our B category, for example. I hope this helps :-) We we also record a tipps & tricks video this summer, where we show some special things, operating ideas and patching of complex fixtures.

Hey, thanks for your question! "Bump Link" ensures that the bumps are also linked to the playback masters. Otherwise they will ignore the intensity level set by the payback masters. "Bump Kill" ensures that the bumps deactivate the standard On sequences. This can be helpful when using intensity bumps quickly on the run. Hope this helps :-)

Hey, thanks for your question! You're right, of course. However, we don't see much practical sense in it, as you have to adjust / fine-tune each fixture type individually for uniform colours anyway. We also did this for the demo stage fixtures with the demo patch. That's why it's already the default setting in the file. However, you could now save those presets as universal for your own base file to start from. That would result in the behaviour you described :-)

​@@mblightarts any news for a full tutorial? I used it 2 times now for shows. But i'm looking to use 1 or 2 lights out of my sym group to use it for something Else. Now those 2 lights are affected by the group master but i like to use them on a separate fader with intensity beside the group master. I don't Mean OVR. Any tips how to do it? Thx!

@@JonasS303 Hey, thanks for your comment! Unfortunately we had a bit of a delay with the tutorial. But it should be available tomorrow. Regarding your question: In V2 we no longer use group masters, but playback masters. This means that you can easily create additional sequences with further content. This also applies to the intensity values. You just have to create an additional sequence with a dimmer value to switch on the lamps separately. Does this answer your question? Hope it helps! 🙂
