I built that originally, looks a bit different now 🤔
you did a grand job
@bryanlancaster1045 it's changed a bit since then , I had a zx7r seat on it and triumph 509 forks on it. It was featured in street fighters magazine in the day.
@@peterrose5647 it is always a shame that people hard work is altered by other people but who ever changed what you had built may have done it for a couple of reason , there own tastes being one of them
@bryanlancaster1045 I'm not annoyed at the changes, like you said it's other people's tastes and probably to personalise it a bit as well. I'm just happy it's still about and the engine is still going strong... it was built by Jarrod (Jack) Frost of holeshot racing , so testament to him.

The Vincent Rapide is a 1000cc engine motor bike, it has a kick starter , no water cooled radiators , and is the size of a small 250cc! This was made in 1949! Modern motor bikes 2024, are twice the size, twice the weight, and look horrible with their huge radiators, and crappy overdesigned styling, and unnecessary technology. This video demonstrates how motor bike design has changed, but not for the better. I'd prefer( not that I could afford one) the Rolls Royce of motor bikes, any Vincent motor bike. What a masterpiece of quality engineering and design!

That's a RD400 E.... is a 1978 model..... 1980 was the G.... 79 & 80 had different tank and a one piece head on the motor
Registered in 1980 owner has never told me any different
@@bryanlancaster1045 it is a 78 E model.... I raced one in the 410cc production class here in NZ.... 76 C / 77 D / 78 E / 79 F / 80 G ... then they went to the 350cc water cooled..

It’s a ‘71. I had a picture from a magazine of this bike on my bedroom wall as a kid. Ended up with a Blue’72 model and loved it!
The owner said its was a 73 maybe it was when he got ownership of it
