Life of an Asphalt Paving, Dump Truck Driver

Here we have a driveway with tight flow lines and a lot of hand work. Most of the paving did not make it on film so we have some trucking for you to enjoy.

Nice equipment 💫 😎 good looking job 👍
I just wanted to be the number 9 comment
On the back of a patch hole .what will happen if i do some Arc welding to it.
Looks good but Yaul need more guys
Great video Big Man like it❤😊
looked good. As a concrete guy, you might lay down some 7/16 OSB on the new driveway
WOW!! GREAT JOB!
nice, could you guys come to Trinidad and Tobago and show these loooosers how it's done.thank you.
I'd rather hear the truck than that music
Wayyyyy too much raking on the seam in the last few seconds. Gunna create segregation of the stones in the mat. Seams should never be raked…
Tomorrow I'll be doing this, I'm so nervous. I'm not ready lol. I've never wanted to quit so bad! 😖😖
I’m just on the other side of state line in Idaho! Driveway and all looks killer. Great job 👌🏼 I’ll keep you in mind when I need some paving work done on my property!
Awesome deal man I wash Windows off of Chapman Road. That’s a super sick house!
Oh yeah! you got my sub for the no jakes allowed!
super video ,bon job salutation France.
Thanks so much stay tuned and subscribed for more to come!
Gotta work on your cutoffs guys ..square them up . Have a good summer..retired 32 yrs in the pave..😎
I've paved for 40 years and those seams are pretty rough looking just sayin.... you need to overlap the seems a little tighter on the paver when pulling passes
arevyou in Pennsylvania???
We are based out of Eastern Washington State.
*we should definitely do a collaboration youtube video where u r doing asphalt and im doing the concrete, we help each other* u need a microphone when u r in the truck (just trying to help)
We would be happy to do a collaboration! Ya the wife has mentioned that as well we appreciate the tips brother!
@@apexasphaltpaving6163 yup np , keep posting man.
where are you from we should do a colab video together
Were from Spokane county in Washington
sometimes when I make youtube videos I use music too, it makes for a different sound than just the engine roaring, if used properly it can be the perfect thing. you are doing good just don't give up, i think you have some cool angels
try to use the music to your advantage also with hitting the beats on a clip change, also do some commentary as u r laying the asphalt. like as u r talking to the other guys. u r doing a good job 4 real
nice angle and I wouldn't cut the music. do what ever makes u happy.i think it was fine
Right on Brother! We just recently added a huge list of better music. The sound of equipment gets old.
@@apexasphaltpaving6163 I know I got a youtube page as well, btw I gave u a sub
As a veteran roller driver of 60 years and tarmac finisher please don't take this the wrong way but your roller driver is rolling way too much at it when it's cold. Iv found tar that goes white is usually good material. 3passes is more than enough don't park roller on the cold tar keep up tight to paver don't drive on cold material turns it white. Regards from ireland
That's awesome. We're always looking to improve our product in any way. Thank you for the advice and we would love to hear from you again.
The music just killing this.
We appreciate the feedback!
Float ronde vibrato rubber wiel pyp agtr masjien
The music sucks
the yellowish surface colors and lines etc... are they going to be washed away in a few weeks? I had my driveway done recently and the color is still mixed as the last image shown above.... a week now, it is still the same. I would like to know they will be gone after some rain etc...
With some rain and time they should fade away. We tarp, clean our roller drums off and do anything we can to reduce the dirty look, but that is just the way paving works with driveways. A fresh sealer will cover any of those spots. Also we have noticed that in our area we have a lot of iron in the water which will corrode a wet drum after sitting for just minutes. This is where a lot of the dirty look comes from.
Please cut the music.
Yall need a Kraftsman Paver Special for all your equipment!
Dude for real. Would love one, but we're talking some pretty big dollars for a trailer.
Your music is horrendously awful
Nice Video!
Thank you!
I prefer to hear the sounds rather than the music over what you’re saying or anything else
Thanks for your input!
Not sure where your at but I’m in the Pacific Northwest. Non stop rain and clouds for 8 months!🌧
Dude! For real brother! Same thing over here. Were in Eastern Washington
Awesome! can you please tell me the name of the song at the start of the paving sequence?
I'll check when we do our next edit. Thanks for the support.
aw boys hows the mat so dirty already 🥲
Its a constant battle. Any high roller traffic areas, also we have a lot of hard water around here. We tarp all our access points and wash our drums before hopping on the mat. If you have any suggestions please let us know.
@@apexasphaltpaving6163 cant do much more than laying tarp and washing the drums thats all we do, if you cant get access to clear water it is what it is ay. much love from australia. keep it up boys yeeww! 👌
@@apexasphaltpaving6163 can this yellowish areas go away in a few weeks/months? it seems to be "pressed" into the mat.
@@ERA93 it happened to my home job. just cannot be clean enough. almost as much dirty/yellowish as the video show. Understand that it is not avoidable, but will it go away, sometime soon?
@@apexasphaltpaving6163 one or 2 passes with big roller then get lines out with smaller roller! Over rolling that’s why it’s going white, over rolling when the the tar has gone cold with 2 big of a roller, 1-2 passes with big roller only on the hot tar then 80 roller to get lines out one or 2 passes again
Omg look at this!!! A manual transmission! And non emissions. Am I dreaming here???
Emissions are turned up to 💯 out this way!
@@apexasphaltpaving6163 ahhh good deal
AMATEUR
So am i FINALLY seeing a asphalt channel/blogger now?
You know it!
Just check out American Pavement they got some crazy TH-cam footage
Keep laying that hot rock boys. Good job!
We'll keep coming my brother! Stay tuned
That's awesome!
Good looking driveway. Me and my dad are a two man paving crew and what I have found that works really well for us is having a breakdown roller. I use a 3 ton hamm for the intial compacting which I only use once on the mat. Then I use a 1.5 ton Wacker to get the lines out and to edge around curbs and buildings. With these rollers we also found we don't need a plate compactor at all on our jobs. Hope this information helps you in the future
Right on man! Thanks for the advice. We just swapped that case and are trying a volvo 30. Also that is awesome you guys are a two man crew, a lot of hard work. That's how we started
I saw the low spots.
?? You must have a keen eye 👁 Want to join the team? Sounds like your a pro at finish raking
Great video man can’t wait for the next one‼️
