I feel I’ve just got colonized
The compositions of William Faulkes are in my opinion underestimated. I first knew of this gentleman was when, 54 years ago i was appointed as organist and choir master of the West Ham Central Mission Memorial Baptist Church. Amongst the music left by my predecessor was a copy of the concert overture in Eb by William Faulkes, a piece which i have always enjoyed playing. It was good to hear another of this gentleman's compositions. Thank you.

Not nice registration, little variation and boring. Heard much better and indeed, played much better :-(
Same as my previous comments ( Jerusalem) the organ lacks the softer tones of registration- it is a very 'brassy' sound.
The organ has a very harsh' rasping' sound, and the organist does not use variation in the registration.

Ye! To be honest this is the one I grew up with from A+M hymn book as a chorister. I'm not a fan of all the passing notes too florid for me for Good Friday.
Isn't it sad that our churches are so empty now in Holy Week? I think it's great that you played all the verses from this Palm Sunday anthem.
