‘Life, by Okinawa’ exists to show the world what this place has to offer. Our story comes from knowing that compared to other cultures and destinations, this place is special. We invited three groups from around the world to enjoy the islands and show what life in Okinawa looks and feels like. By understanding their preconceived ideas on beauty, wellbeing and connection, we were able to see how Okinawa is completely unique to anywhere else in the world.

What is the name and place (in Okinawa) of that dojo? I live in Okinawa and used to practice Karate, and I am considering re-engaging.
Graham Lewis How can you be so Blessed as to live in Okinawa and not be training?!!!! I live in the USA, and anchored with a 5 year old son, and would almost trade anything to be in Okinawa. I train 3x a week in a karate dojo. I am blessed to have a teacher who has been doing karate for 47 years. 4 years longer than I have been alive. So I am pretty blessed. But if I were you I would head to a good dojo and enroll.

Okinawa is not Japan or Japanese
Okinawa Nah ??? Okinawa is a part of Japan. She was Ryukyu Kingdom that has own cutures. She stil keeps them and mainland Japanese recognize that. After WW2, she was US territory but they wanted to return to Japan. Who said Okinawa is not Japan? What do you think about Hawaii or Tibet etc?
A. Oka how come mainland ban use of Okinawan language? how come mainland force locals to use Japanese surnames and names? force to use Japanese language? People in Okinawa are Okinawans not a Japanese. Hawaiians are Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, Polynesia, not white American, not Native American

What's actually popular in person in Okinawa vs what's popular on TH-cam for Okinawa is so vastly different. It's sort of interesting to see how people on TH-cam are manipulating it behind the scenes. Okinawa's English presence is largely American/Military/Dependents of Military.
