awesome
While the ruud silhouette was running I turned the light off and looked at the burners closely. The 4 main jets looked pretty good and were very blue as they should be, but the pilot was almost completely orange and was dancing a little bit. After the fan shut off the pilot had a bit of orange but it was nothing close to as bad as how it looked during a cycle. But that could be due to a dirty thermocouple, what are your thoughts?
If the pilot moves excessively with the fan on and the main burners off, it's pretty obvious that the heat exchanger is not sealed anymore.
@ Next time I catch it running i’m gonna check the pilot after the flames just off and just the blower is running. The pilot is a smaller flame so that’s more likely to move more when there’s a small amount of airflow compared to the big flames
Thats true 👍
I used to have an XB80 at my old house. Good to see one again. I loved the sound of that thing
Yeah, they're a lot better built than the ones they put out now! This was trane at its best back then!
My trane XE80 was 23 years old. thing carried my childhood i used to sit by the vent all the time it was awesome. Hearing the draft inducer on this motor is nostalgic because mine sounded exactly alike
Are you still keeping it?
@@seantheenthusiast Ever since we replaced the water heater we cleaned the basement a bit and I didn’t need to do anything with it anymore so when we recycled our water heater we did the furnace with it too
Oh ok. It'd be pretty cool if I kept a junker around, I would make a setup out of it in my own backyard.
My siren didn't warble at first because it hasnt sounded in over a decade, so that's why it acted weird, it sounds normal now.
Huraćan LP6104
mod of it
Mod of what?
Make Lamborghini Huraćan LP610-4
Thats not in the game.
Why didn't you put on camera shake on the Huraćan huh huh? HUH?
That's what you asked for. If im getting 2 different requests, I combine them both....
Because 1: Odds are the person might like them both combine. And 2: this channel posts many different kinds of content and its best if I keep things nice and balanced so viewers are satisfied and not getting bored of me posting the same stuff every time.
In other words, i wont post too much video game content on here.
You have once again put on camera shake. Can you adjust the shakiness to be less wobbly?
Xbox version is non adjustable.
Yo, why's the camera all shaky? Did you put that camera shake effect on again?
I like camera shake because its more realistic. I always leave it on.
Make lamborghini Huraćan one
Ok
How did you turn on camera shake?
I think in the video settings or it's the gameplay settings.
Why is the camera shaking so much? Did you put the camera shake on?
Yes. It's even more violent now that I switched over to the PC version.
That took a bit but it’s a honda so it starts right up! My honda prelude has a idle fluctuate when it idles for ahout 3 minutes in cold weather, since I believe the coolant system needs to be bleeded
Yeah, for whatever reason, the starter on the seventh gen accords draw so much amperage, and they're so sluggish to start the engine. It's almost like starting a subaru. My old civic started much faster than this, but i'm not concerned, really. Possibly, by the end of next year, I might trade this in for an Acura.
Sweet sweet Melody ☺️
Does this Furnace have a filter that has to be replaced within it? I’m having an issue where it’s not reaching the set temperature I set it to. I had a technician come out and he replaced my pressure switch. That seemed to work for a few hours but now it’s not reaching the set temperature. Are you able to provide me with any advice?
Yes. A dirty filter can definitely cause a problem where it's not being able to keep up as it's tripping a high limit safety inside the unit.
Either the filter is located near the furnace. Or it's located in a return somewhere. If dirty, replace it or wash it if you have a washiable style.
was yours located in the attic? The filters I been changing has been for the return inlets which I have in the ceiling upstairs and another downstairs in the living room? If there is one in the attic where would it be. My furnace is horizontal.
Mine is in the basement. horizontal units are the same way, They're just sideways. Most horizontals in attics have filters on the right side of the unit. Some of them are located on the left, and there's a little door on it.
Thank you. I’ll check that out because from my initial look I did not see an access door.
You probably know me but I got the same blower too and did a muffler upgrade I took off a few parts inside of the muffler and it’s louder and has a little more boost
Nice! Yeah I do remember you by the way
Want my number

Oh your into weather radios to

This was ridiculous to watch, no explanations and going to damn fast. Stupid "how to" video.
This blower is still going strong as of November 2024. In the summer of 2021, the original carburetor went bad and was replaced with a new oem carburetor. That same year, the fuel lines and grommet were changed as well. This summer, the spark plug was changed, the carburetor gasket was replaced, and the carburetor was readjusted. In early November, I cleaned the muffler, spark arrestor screen, and exhaust port. That goes to show you how long these old japanese blowers will last as long as you take care of them. They're are like Hondas! Sure, this blower may not have as much power as the newer models Echo sells today, but it can still get the job done. Quick tip: When replacing your spark plug, make sure you get the oem plug because I once ran a Chinese aftermarket plug in mine, and the blower had starting issues and flooded itself frequently, and putting the original spark plug back in it fixed the problem. When I bought my SRM 230 used, it had an aftermarket plug on it, so i changed it out, and it runs even better! So always get a real oem spark plug and not a clone!

What shifter is it?
TH8A by Thrustmaster
I can really hear the AC in that clip!
Yup that was the idea!
That draft enducer motor is definitely noisy! Those flames are very nice and blue! Great startup
It's not as noisy in person though. In comparison last year it was worse, So the fix has helped a little. Now because of the new thermostat changes It's less likely to run during the daytime So in this video I intentionally made it run By turning up the thermostat to 72. Now that's fine because Running it for an extended period of time Will show me that I can trust it and I won't be wrenching on it in the middle of winter when heats actually needed.
This thing really stank when I first ran it. The funny thing is that we're now back to using air conditioning again.
@@seantheenthusiast I’m using my ac right now but that’s because my brother decided to turn the heat to 75 and claimed he only did to 72! (Only my bedroom AC) But it ran like a 25 minute cycle to go from 70-75. My furnace didn’t have a stinky smell it just had a slight dusty smell but not burning or anything. Most likely just some dust in the air return vents and needing a new filter for the season
@@seantheenthusiast The cameras always either don’t pick it up or do too much. My thermostat jumps a degree when it’s finished hit that’s fine because it gets a break in between cycles. My house isn’t very insulated so it drops a bit faster than other houses
@@seantheenthusiastAlso I didn’t see one speck of an orange flash. Your heat exchanger on the inside must be pretty clean. And you have a great skill for cleaning burners. Your CO levels it produces must be pretty low maybe 4-5
One good thing I notice is that the water temperature signals on the water lines aren’t melted, which usually when it backdrafts those are deformed completely
(Assuming you are talking about the WH) Well, that's double wall around it So you can have something within six inches around it. The double wall doesn't get quite as hot as single wall.
@@seantheenthusiast I accidentally commented it since I clicked on the wrong video lol but yeah
The lines look like they are touching the flu pipe, but they're actually not. It's just a botched install from whoever did the first or second water heater install.
@@seantheenthusiast I know that, but if you look directly beside it on top of the water heater around each line you’ll see 2 colored plastic rings that melt when it backdrafts those are
@@seantheenthusiast Temps are starting to get pretty cold here I catch the heat running every morning now
That venting does not meet code. Water heater venting should never go in a downwards slope. My old water heater had that and my new water heaters venting is better and vents properly now. Could you make a video showing the full venting to where it goes out the chimney?
The venting is not part of my work. I just reused it. I'm not really sure if it was the person doing the 2008 install or if that's the original venting. I'll show you though once Everyone's asleep.

Love the way these units are designed. Very easy to work on
I agree
Can you tell me which wire goes to which terminal on the detector? Please
Sure! Are you installing one or multiple detectors on the same circuit? The reason why I'm asking this because The wiring configuration may be different if you're installing more than one.
I am installing one detector
I have the exact same detector as you installed.
Okay so the two terminals wires on the unit negative and positive will connect to the aux power output terminals on the panel. Terminal 4 (on the alarm panel) is the negative, and terminal 5 is the positive. The other 2 Two wires Are for the zone You're gonna be connecting it to. The C terminal on the detector which is common is gonna go to the hi side of the zone (on the panel). The NO terminal on the detector Which stands for normally open will go to the low side (on the panel). For example: If I were to connect this detector to zone 6, The low side will be terminal 16 while the hi side will be 17. You'll need to put resistors on the circuit for it to work properly. What I did is I Spliced the wire into the high side of the zone And then I put a crimp connector on the end of the wire, Then I put A resistor on the end of that crimp connector and connected it to the terminal on the board. Then I put a second resistor on the detector, That Resistor goes to NO and T which is trouble. I hope this helps you out. I Can post a photo on my youtube page if you need further help.
Lifesaver thank you
😢 I miss the vortex
Me too
I just expected thr tabs not to load and it'll just say something but it is removed and maybe should of saw that coming, but it looks the same as it always does when your offline. I forgot taking away the market would take away most of the dashboard.
Yeah that's what I thought too but I didn't expect them to update the dashboard to look like that
@@seantheenthusiast yeah exactly, I'm still., happy online multilplayer can still works, as longs as the company supports it. Wish things lasted forever but never do.
I like it👈, that the same amount of pulls it takes to start my trimmer.
Yeah it's been the best trimmer I've ever owned, I readjusted the carburetor again and sometimes it'll start on the first pull.
You got the same one too?
the 360 store should have stayed considering all things are going digital and also streaming
Well the problem with that is the sales would eventually decline so they would have to shut it down anyways. I just wish they would give you the option to switch dashboard versions at least. That would be awesome!
I also like elevators
Same
I had a 4 stroke verison of that weed trimmer and it was a piece of junk i even ran ethonel free gas in and had nothing but problems
Yeah I agree, I think all MTD trimmers are worthless when it comes to selling them too because once you buy one brand new you're kind of stuck with it unless you throw it in the garbage, or sell it for free or at a low price. It was very difficult to sell this one because everybody knows to stay away from these trimmers. I had another MTD trimmer that was older, and it was becoming expensive to keep it alive, so I gave it away instead of selling it because I knew that it was worthless at that point. I have since got myself an older Echo trimmer, and I love it! 👍

SADLY IT SOUNDS LIKE A MIX BETWEEN THE ELDORADO AND ESCALADE FROM FH3!!😢😢
Love that blower sound! Great filter too
Yeah so far the expensive filter is holding up. A little foam came off on the edge but it's doing alright 👍
@@seantheenthusiast The amount of discoloration on my heat exchanger though makes me worried about the air flow to it, I feel it’s not normal for it to have that much discoloration already
Well like I said before, the blower speed is programmable so you can change it if that makes you feel better
@@seantheenthusiast I just don’t understand why it would be incorrectly set from the factory. What do you think of the amount of discoloration and stress marks seen on my heat exchanger?
Each house is different, so sometimes you need to set it to a different speed to get the most out of your furnace. Now, unless the heat exchanger is burnt, I wouldn't be worried too much about it. What does it look like now? Can you post a new photo of it?
I don’t know what it is about old trane blower motors starting up but it’s so nostalgic when I used to have the trane during heating season
PSCs for life 👍
@@seantheenthusiast If my motor ever went out, I would probably use a ECM to PSC modification on it, since i’m pretty sure it’s possible with an additional PCM board kit
Yeah Quik Products sells a kit you can get for 20 bucks

Dang, we had a tornado warning a month ago, it was crazy outside!
Did you guys have a real tornado rip through your neighborhood?
@@seantheenthusiast Nah, but it was crazy
Windy?
@@seantheenthusiast Very
That's crazy, normally it's quiet over here when we get a tornado warning. At one time we did have a real tornado rip through our neighborhood at 2 in the morning and it was moving our patio stuff around. The wind was so loud I could not hear the sirens and we didn't have power until the next day. Surprisingly our house didn't take any damage at all!
Thats awesome I love sirens

I was checking out some videos you posted and was wondering, how often does your heat come on and run for every average day during heating season? Mine comes on like every 15 minutes and runs for 5-10
That's roughly how often mine would run, 20 minutes or so
BTW I will not be replacing the draft motor this year. I lost my recent job again so I need to save my money I'm kinda being a cheapskate at this point. So far it sounds fine so I'm gonna leave it alone
@@seantheenthusiast Oh that’s sucks, sorry about that, but yeah as long as it’s going don’t replace it
@@seantheenthusiast Is it normal for a furnace like mine to already have the discoloration and stress marks?
Yeah that's normal, any furnace will do that
Can y'all play online after the shutdown?
Yeah you can still play online, it's just the store that's gone
The dashboard looks so empty now. It’s a sad day for Xbox
It is
I juat discovered that if you disconnect your 360 from the internet, you'll get the store tab back
@@seantheenthusiastwait does it work
It does but you can't go into the store when you're not connected, but when you reconnect the store tab disappears again, so I guess that's the only way to keep the store on your dashboard
