I don’t really understand why, but Eddie Trunk bothers me for some reason. I remember seeing him at a concert years ago in Chicago, where I approached him and tried to offer up admiration for his work in rock ‘n’ roll journalism. He totally blew me off. This was shortly after That Metal Show premiered on television. Something about that changed Eddie. He became a celebrity, at least in his own mind. He has consistently inserted himself into every story that he tells about all of these iconic figures in the rock and metal world. He’s always part of the story. He’s seemingly abandoned “journalism” for notoriety. Now maybe I’m still butthurt that he blew me off at the concert, but he has just turned into this smarmy musician wannabe and it really feels irritating.

Ratt wasted decades fighting with each other. They lost millions of dollars because they could not get along. Blotzer especially pissed because he did not get any publishing money since he did not write songs.
