How about buying the decommissioned steel body warship and refurbish the body and haul in accordance to the PCG standards and specifications. The size of which is similar to the CCG monster ship. The armaments is not as sophisticated as PN ship. It will require guns, air defense guns, latest radar systems and big water cannons. This can be transferred to BFAR when it get older.

i think we should give all the philippine navy ships to the coast guards except the new malvar, jose rizal, lpd and acero class. downgrade all old warships to Coast guards. restructure the navy, instead of adding submarines as priority. they need to build our surface warships with a flagship of a cruiser or destroyer then at least 6 more frigates, at least 2 made locally downgrade rizal class to corvettes and add at least 8 more corvettes with at least 4 made locally add 3 more lpds, made locally add at least 20 more opvs made locally more acero or MPAC made locally then add submarines if there is a budget..

The South Korea ship builder is offering to build a monster ship for PCG but I think it was declined.
