This is why i dont buy nissans lol
You get what you pay for when it comes to Nissan. A cheap vehicle that (may) reach 100k miles with no problems.
Jatco=Jatshit😂
Guys idk what people do to kill a CVT. Maybe F1C1A is just a great one, but 700k+ km with no issues at all. (Mitsubishi Dion, 2002). The only thing I did - changing the speed sensor, cuz it was saying that smth is wrong with it. My dad has 600k on Toyota Voxy (2008) and his CVT just started to have problems (but not like that)
Welp that shows how bad these transmissions are, only 83,000 miles???
CVT broken
Looks like a P1778, your gear ratio is stuck on the lower end
Whats obvious is that hes fed up and trying to blow his transmission up 😂 for the video...
Nissan told me my tranny was bad at 80k I changed the tranny oil and filter myself now almost 190k zero issues.... change your oil people
Hey was your car still drivable before u change the oil and filter?? Because my won’t accelerating so maybe I just need new transmission
no problems if you change your tranny fluid every 30km...drain and fill 3 litres,,, suck it out with a pump, and change coolant every two yrs
You know it's bad when you start revving it and it sounds like a subaru XD
CFT Continous FAILED Transmissions!!! The worst Transmissions in ANY vehicle
Mines at 171k thank you Jesus 😂😭
Hahahaa uncle Joey
People before you condemn a CVT check things like the purge vale . MAF sensor , accelerator pedal sensor.etc. I had a nissan doing this and it was a bad purge and vent vale, an dirty throttle body. The car in the video may also be in LIMP mode due to other sensor inputs not sending the correct signals to the ECM.
This is exactly what is going on with me ! What did you do to diagnose your issue ?
Get a remanned tranny and have some cheap laborer put it in, $2,900 from nissan for a remanned cvt, $800 for labor, $3,800 for a new transmission, not too bad
How often was the fluid changed on this?
I really enjoy watching the transmission getting smoked.
Thank God for my sentra b13 1992 ga16de
People who buy Nissan’s after watching this are fucking insane
I had a 2012 Nissan Altima over 240,000 mines. The motor was great i had no major issues with the engine I kept my oil changed and tuneups updated. But them CVT’s are horrible Nissan have great engines but bad CVTs
THIS IS WHAT MY NIGHTMARES ARE MADE OF! BLOWN TRANSMISSIONS! BLOWN HEAD GASKETS! 😰
I kinda know why the thing broke look at how hard you hit the drive way ouch 1:26
At least u can still somewhat move to get to where u need to go before it completely stops like an automatic tranny lmao
I can’t believe people love these crap cars 🙄🤦🏻♂️
This is why I would rather buy a Toyota. Nissan's are no bueno.
What did you expect? You bought a POS Nissan
CVT SUCKS !!!
@1:26 was that a curve or cvt? Lol
Damn still getting better mpgs than me
This happened to me in the middle of nowhere. Never again
1. Do the correct maintenance 2. Don’t launch the car 3. It will last
So what are the other things does the maintenance include other than changing the CVT Fluid every 30k? Do I need to change the coolant fluid and other stuff? Thanks! Your response totally helps!
what a piece of junk....
I nevered knew why thier was a issue with nissan cvt transmission the fact came out that is not how the transmission was made it was the fuel type NS3 that cause the chains and belts to slip. If you turn your car on cold and brutal accelerate the transmission will soon cause the belts to slide best solution to warm the car right and I'm not talking about the temperature gauge I recommend changing the transmission oil and put Amsoil CVT Transmission fluid your car will last longer on transmission with no issues.
"Oh man, I hope my CVT doesn't take a shit"
Funny joke!! 😅😅😂😂🤣!
This is why I traded my Mitsubishi Lancer ES (it had a CVT) for a Kia Forte Koup SX; to not have to worry about CVT issues.
Hi I'm a transmission man and I will say he could have saved the damn thing if he would have stopped and added the cvt transmission fluid recommended by Nissan
Idk why this video came up as a recommended video. I have a 13 Nissan Altima as well with 170k miles runs great! Always keep up with maintenance and just did a transmission fluid change. I have a long trip tomorrow so now I’m hoping for the best lol
How was your trip? Took our 19’ Vc-Turbo from Tx-Va-Fl-Tx put 3,700 miles all in one week. Not one issue I did have the Cvt serviced right before the trip at 30k miles.
@@NissanAltimaGuy it handled like a champ! It was about 500-550 miles round trip and didn’t hesitate one bit. A lot of people bad mouth cvt’s but I guess I got lucky with mine. I’ve changed the oil every 3-4K miles with synthetic castrol I know it can probably go more but I change it out anyways. And the transmission fluid I change it ever 30k miles with Nissan n3 tranny fluid per manufacturer recommendations
You need to avoid 2013 altima at all costs
I will never buy an Altima again. My fist car was a used 2003 Altima. I had transmission issues all the time and the engine would heat up and burn my leg.
I got 152K on my 07 Altima 3.5 SE with an original CVT. Runs perfectly fine and will continue to people just suck at taking care of their cars
Scotty kilmer: "I told you."
Nissan isn't what it used to be 20+ years ago. It's gone downhill. If you value your hard earned money, you don't buy Nissan, Hyundai, Kia or Mopar vehicles...
I'll never understand why people even buy these. Have they never heard of Toyota and Honda? You never hear about the transmission in a Camry or Accord or Corolla being notoriously unreliable
Continuously vehicle trouble
Probably just the turbo kicking in.
And this is why I drive an altima with a manual trans
Never been a car I wanted to rev less than my former '16 Nissan Versa hatchback. Glad I wrecked the car before the CVT went haywire 🤣
The dreaded CVT from JATCO. Stay away at all costs. Its not worth the risk. Nissan manuals are OK, but not their CVTs.
Doesn’t look like you need that radar detector 🤣🤣🤣
