i'm straight foot forward but i always put the left foot on the front first and then the right foot on the back right after. Is this a bad approach? I'm already used to it then when i try it your way with right foot first i always fall down!

I cobbled one of these together and wiped out so hard on the windy road by the lake in our dirt road town. Now i just send it from the park to the parking lot, inviting others to abandon the idea that we shouldn't ride dirt

I remember when I was a kid I visited my cousin in Santa Cruz and her friend named Todd took me riding on one of these. Was an awesome time.

I used to skate with a guy who pushed mongo. He refused to push normal and stayed dick-footed his entire skateboarding career. He had an amazing sense of smell and could tell you what type of gum or mints you had in your pocket by sniffing the air within feet of you. Our local shop threw a contest one year, and another mutual buddy of ours ended up as the announcer for it. My mongo friend and i entered, and during his first run, our friend on the mic called him "the Bloodhound", and enlightened the crowd on his crazy smelling abilities. Looking back, what i did next seems very juvenile and meanspirited. I started feeling an overwhelming sense of anger towards "the Bloodhound". I had this mental image stuck in my mind of an actual bloodhound- complete with those long, floppy, stupid ears. And the worst part- i could hear that loud, grating howl of a hunting hound replaying infinitely in my head. I couldn't focus on anything else, and i began to lose my grip on reality in that moment as that damned howling kept chipping away at my sanity. Though i don't remember anything after this point, I've heard from countless witnesses that I marched over to the Bloodhound (Russian soldier style march), grabbed his skateboard out from under his back foot, pushed him (the bloodhound) backwards a few feet, and threw his board at our announcer friend missing him entirely, but damaging one of the large speakers. Then i turned towards the Bloodhound and let out a high pitched scream that went on far too long. I took a breath, and yelled "PENIS! PENIS! YOU PUSH LIKE A PENIS! YOU ARE A PEEEEEEENIS!!!" Oh, I'd pissed myself at some point during all this, and was wearing khaki cargo shorts that day. Fearing someone was going to try to arrest me or call an ambulance, I ran away. The Bloodhound placed 3rd in advanced category that day, and managed to bigflip out of a backside tailslide down our hubba. He'd only landed that once before, and he did it better this time. He and i are still friends to this day, and still skate together several times a week. Nice backside flip.

I'll let you all in on a little secret. If you have a sick mullet wig like this guy, there is literally no need to wear a helmet. They both provide equal amounts of padding and protection.

Well over 20 years ago I had a board set up exactly like this which I bought from Argos in the UK and I remember it simply because of attempting a hill bomb on it and shredding both forearms hitting the road when the speed wobble got too much and I had to bail 😆😆😆 good times
