Deutsche Bank Prize in Financial Economics

The Center for Financial Studies (CFS), in partnership with Goethe University, has been awarding the Deutsche Bank Prize in Financial Economics biannually since 2005. The award honors internationally renowned researchers whose work has significantly influenced financial economics, and has led to fundamental advances in economic theory and practice. It carries an endowment 50,000 Euro which is donated by the Stiftungsfonds Deutsche Bank im Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft*.
The CFS has awarded the DB Prize 2013 to Raghuram G. Rajan for his highly influential contributions in a remarkably broad range of areas in financial economics. The prize was presented on 26 September 2013 by Jürgen Fitschen, Co-CEO Deutsche Bank AG in the context of the international academic CFS symposium "Banking, Liquidity, and Monetary Policy".
