i have also heard from a rider that an out of town uber driver used "fake sick" (like from a joke shop) and sent the pic to uber for a cleaning bill. Nothing can be done about stopping the outter towners coming, its just the way it is now. (oh and welcome to channel ;) )

i totally understand your opinion. The reason its in my list and i feel its a myth is while EVs do of course have a environmental impact such as battery production and electricity generation, (like the device your using to reply) They still produce far fewer emissions than none EV Vehicles. As renewable energy souces become more prevalent EVs will become more and more greener. While conventional vehicles will always remain high.. or are you saying it seems they are not a greener alternative after all? (didnt mean to start a green debate with this video lol)

@@DriverDenny 2 years NCB only do Uber Eats if mega slow the average jobs are £3.00 - £6.00 however Just Eat pays better usually about £6.00 for 3-4 mile total journey. If i do a delivery i try to get a passenger coming back towards the restaurants.

No mate, That is the raw gross of the shift earnings. Everyone's expenses are different. They range from £3.5 to £8+ an hour depending on your setup (eg settle or own, petrol or elec, how many hours a week u do etc) and where u drive.

I can never rest when my car is in. I know it's going to be ok but can't help the worry. Glad my vids bring u a smile mate. I just try to have fun making them. 😀

nice gross income for the time spent. lucky you got that golden job, i guess you went back to your area with no one ? (so the job was an hour and 20 mins ?). Based on what your saying it works out around £500 / 20h = £25 an hour "gross". since you do around the same hours a week, it should be easy enough for you to work out your running costs per hour of an hackney. would be interesting to know your true net profit per hour after you take away your expenses (rent of cab, plate, your fuel, insure etc)

@@DriverDenny I own my car 2021 Skoda octavia diesel turbo 65 mpg and Pay local Taxi firm 15% commission for jobs they give to me like the job I quoted, Off the rank jobs and direct calls from my google ad its all mine though I mostly sit at home and wait for calls, My town is 20 miles from heathrow so I get alot of drop off pick ups at £80 a time, My Taxi mate single guy no wife or kids works 7 days aweek 12.00pm - 12.00am averages 1400-1600 aweek sometimes less sometimes more, I have other income so dont work too hard kinda semi retired.

ahh ok Dave, thanks for your reply in more detail. I only asked due to recently someone i know left doing the hacks to sign up with uber and according to him, he is making more with uber. it does seem you have alot of external factors that are working in your favour.

@@DriverDenny Yeah I just work the peak times Fri, Sat Evenings and sundays (Time and a half) if I worked weekdays daytime which I used to do years ago its crap just picking up local shoppers and grannies and sitting in traffic.

You wouldn't need your nvq again. But you would have to do all the process again with the council and then wait. Surely it's easier just to renew your badge and keep it active. (Like what I do with my sia licence, I haven't worked security for a long time but pay the fees to keep my badge current)

I heard one story of a drivers car getting kicked by other drivers... Am all for protests but not abusive mob chaos ones.

i recall when some drivers was stopped by people sitting on the motorway, they where not happy. same thing really just not for their cause

I have only had them speak to me once because I stopped at the start of a taxi rank. He come from nowhere. He wasn't happy that I asked to see his ID then took a picture of it with my phone. It was my early days. To be fair never stopped anywhere near a taxi rank again lol

@@DriverDenny yeah work for Uber, Liverpool plated, think the new update will be good, makes the trip radar easier, would prefer to just get jobs normally, as Friday was sitting got trip radar £48.80 for 25 miles, didn’t get it, but I heard the queueing system at airport ma be changing, I have friends in Glasgow they went to on the trip, and apparently the queue will be properly worked, you’ll arrive and be say 18th in queue but when you get 1 that’s when you’ll get jobs apparently

Uber doesn't have a fixed %. 😒. So wouldn't know what's taken till you have your statement.(i have had as little as 10% to as much as 26% taken ) £2000 in a week on a local base. £285 a day.. don't even think you could do that in a DeLorean lol. I have lived in liverpool all my life, I am well aware of dodgy areas but that doesn't mean you know everyone and who your picking up. So if my reasons are so stupid what in your "opinion" are the big benefits of driving for a base. I have done both and uber tick alot more boxes for me.

@@DriverDenny Same flexibilty as Uber. Fixed fee no stress. Decent fare rates. U work in ur own area and not working like a lorry driver like pick up in manchester n drop off in liverpool. The pick up in liverpool and drop off in chester. All this for £1 a mile. U have cash jobs. U get more tips. No bidding wars. Good airport fares. Never have ever dropped off or picked up from airport while working for uber. Fare is absolutley cr@p. U can give more time to ur family. U can start when ever and finish when ever. Same as uber. While uber claims this flexibilty but all old drivers know that it has always been like this. And so on. Oh and I make more money with base than uber. Massibe difference. Less working hours.

i cant explain it m8, alot and i mean alot of your reasons are the reasons i found uber better and the opposite experience when working for the local base (that i did for 7 years before making the move to uber). can only put it down to different strokes :) nice chat tho and i hope you stick around and dont hold me liking uber more against me lol

So your comfrming you have paid % and had to run around emailing. (Due to the system not being able to do it automatically?) Load of faff that. Checking your invoice, checking the %, making a note of the job number, emailing it all over, checking next weeks invoice if it's gone on. No thx (I didn't name a local base this video is meant for nationwide (like uber 😜) all bases will be different with different rules regs and follow ups. You would have to ask your local base about robbed and runners not something I have the stats on, but when a scally in a hoodie at 1am got in my car and asked "been busy m8?" I would always say " no dead mate". For a reason. Lol The cash u take (£40, is £10 more than I said in the video) that would be good to cover that job then you will be low on change for the next job or the one after that without replenishing . I have had 2-3 "scores" on the bounce... then to deal with the cash part at the end of a trip. let's say adding 2mins. (Them looking for it etc as they don't offen have it ready.) Do 15 jobs that's 30 min wasted) more faff Like I said in my video I fully understand some drivers like the local bases, clearly your one. Thanks for your opinion on the matter 👍

Each to there for who they work for but I couldn’t deal with Ubers low priced jobs I’ve seen a lot this week one on the groups Kirkby to huyton 5.9 miles £6.89 on local companies that’s a £15 job so even if driver was paying 25% commission and the 10p per job he walks away with £11.15+ any tip they get if your happy with stick with them I would sooner pay local company

Dont get me wrong am not some type of advocate for uber, i worked on local bases for years. Uber does tick alot more boxes for me. That job your talking about isint a great one sure, but this is where the Dynamic pricing kicks in. Its based on alot of external factors that continuously adjust prices (within minutes). the main eg of this is market supply/demand and time it takes the driver. Now the particular job in your eg involves the M57 when you take the miles you do out the equation and replace it with time (how uber seems to operate) that job is about 10 mins, times that by 5 (allowing 10 mins for inbetween) and you have just walked away with £34.45 in an hour. to Equal that on a 25% base you would have to do £43 in that same hour on the local base. (they are just not busy enough for that) (again dont get me wrong some job offers are pretty bad, but there the only ones your seeing spammed everywhere. In my short videos i have both good and bad ones) I find your loyalty to local firms admiral but i see this like voting in politics if you always vote(drive) for the same party(bases) your removing your freedom of choice. you "could" use my ride alone videos to see how much i have earned on a particular day then plus 25% to my takings (its all there in black and white) and see where your better off. :D I do love a good chat john :D haha (most drivers do hehe)

@@DriverDenny You don’t have to pay a weekly payment some local bases near me charge drivers £110 / week just to work for them and if drivers reject a few jobs in a row puts them on the naughty step for 30mins and sends them no jobs.

Thefore i wasnt just randomly making something up "lieing". with uber its automatically done so long as the person added the stop. You should only stop or go out your way if they add it to the app. With local bases that used icabbi, there was a button called waiting you simpley press. If your not with uber i would suggest emailing/phoning your local base to ask them about wait time and how to use it. Each local base would have a different policy on it.

Half an inch would not of saved you with that one. Haha

I would always be a little flappy on the local base picking up in some areas after 12,. U never knew what was coming to your car 🤔
