2JZ-GTE Toyota Aristo JZS161 Shift Kit *First Drive*
มุมมอง 23K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Just picked up my JZS161 Toyota Aristo V300 Vertex Edition from MV Automatics in Adelaide, Australia. Filmed on a Samsung S21 Ultra 5G phone, I go through the gears to show actual driving in-car!
How does it handle
God bless you and, your family. Jesus loves you.
Does anybody know of anything similar being available in Europe? Preferably in the Netherlands or neighboring countries?
Please post more man. Love to see content from Australia
thanks! car was sold unfortunately a while back. Unless anyone wants some bugeye wrx wagon or 93 honda cbr900rr videos.. 😄
@@skwiz031 may I know why u sold it? Is it having to do with its reliability or performance?
@@olocansmile5495 nah, I'd own another today if I could! bought a house instead. But something cool will come soon enough 😊
haha wow i just saw this car the other day at all japan day bloody nice car one of my dream cars
Which shift kit is it because on the site it says ls300 is that the one you bought?
go to mvautomatics.com.au > products > valvebodies > A340 Series > Stage 1.5 Kit and thats the one you see here ✌️
Way to go, yo.
Do you think this would be good for handling around 420whp? Ive heard many people suggest this rather than a manual swap
yeah, the boxes are pretty solid units from what I've heard and experienced. You'll likely need to upgrade the stall convertor at that stage too.
Amazing car. We got the same one but it’s showing up an issue are you on Facebook? Had some questions
How much of a difference did u notice with the hpi kit? Can’t decide between hpi and greddy
It wasn't a major difference to be completely honest. Although it felt as if the car felt more alive, weather that was from the decreased restriction or added boost pressure I can't be certain. But either way, 10000% worth it!!
My grandmother drive better than you!!
what model lemme guess 1999
2002
You still run this power? 415 is way too low for those turbos. I made 414hp with stock turbos on 15ps8
How is it holding up for you with the shift kit?
Unfortunately I've sold the car! Would buy another one in a heartbeat!
what BOV / intake are you running? turbo sounds awesome!
standard BOV! HPI Intake with their FMIC kit!
Liked it. It’s fun and all but I don’t think it’s healthy for the transmission.
It is actually a good modification , it will save your gearbox when you make some more power
@@mitchconroy6301do you think thus would be good for around 400whp rather than doing a full manual swap?
Update on your tire chirping luxo machine. How that kit? Boost controller? Boost.?
Hey, not really up to speed on autos, but do own a 161. Just wondering what the shift kit actually does?
It bangs the shift
Looks like 70 to 80 in first gear jeez
Yeah 70-80 kmh not mph. Some cars hit 100kmh first gear
it's gonna die fast m8) u will change ur stock frictions pakages to Roibestos Red first. For more info about in @ks.transmission in instagram
i gasped at the first chirp going 1st to 2nd, so awesome
How do you find the Risty vs your GTR?
completely different worlds! Aristo is just so comfortable and easy to live with, where the GTR is like.. "what's going to wear out and cost me $1000 this week..? 😂
@@skwiz031 Awesome. I had a r33 gtr quite awhile ago and JZS147 aristo is now in the works
Cant wait to have my 147 finished. Will have same box and kit with alot of eng work
Just a fyi for any Americans with a gs300.....this is a A340 4 speed
Not quite I have a 2000 GS300 in America so it is the US version you're right about the transmission because ours came with a 650 automatic 5 speeds but they only came with the non turbo 2JZ and because it's a vvti model it's also the one with the weakest internals. However my car has been swapped with the real GTE twin turbo and the twin turbo a340
To be more specific. A340e. Bigger dia torque converter etc I believe
What temperature thermostat do you have in it? My coolant temperature sits slightly above the halfway.
just the standard one with an upgraded Fenix radiator to increase coolant capacity. seems to sit ever so slightly above halfway too.
@@skwiz031 Did you get a separate oil cooler for the transmission? (assuming this does not have the inbuilt transmission cooler in the radiator?) :)
@Elving Lindqvist yep. I had a separate transmission cooler fitted at the same time. this was really handy as after I drove home, my standard radiator had split! the aftermarket Fenix radiator didn't have the automatic transmission fittings, so I re-routed the transmission fluid lines to only go to the aftermarket transmission cooler.
How come you don't use steering wheel shift buttons?
I use them more now after owning the car for a couple months now. old habit of only owning manual cars and having a gear stick in my hand was normal!
@@skwiz031 ah thought it was something to do with shift kit having to drive it manually with stick
do they work for gs300's and is it worth it?
absolutely, 100% worth it. Yes, they suit GS300, they come with the same A341 auto box
This would not work for this generation of GS300, since they use the A650E 5-speed auto.
How much cost the mv Shift Kit?
the entire kit (shift kit, service, transmission cooler and labour was about $1600AUD
I’m in Adelaide and am about to get my aristo, really surprised it’s not more expensive to get the shift kit done! Definitely adding to my list of stuff to do
How much boost are u running?
stock boost!
is the "chirp" bov or wheel spin?? love me a nice aristo, going to na-t my gs300 someday
chirp of the wheels!
why do u manually shift it to L? why not use the shift buttons manual mode?
honestly, it's a really odd feeling to have push buttons on a steering wheel, rather than paddle shifters behind the wheel. but the only reason why I used the stick to shift was probably from habit after the past 4 cars I've owned recently (R33 GTR DC5 Integra Type R, EG Civic and Evo 8) have all been manual and im just used to the feeling.
@@skwiz031 You've had so pretty sought after cars throughout your years.
I'm in Canada could I order it?
Found the link to the actual product :) mvautomatics.com.au/products/a341
@@Elving_ thank you:)
@@jordanr3163 No worries ^^
415hp with hks2530 @19psi is way to low...you know?
It's no bad either.. for pump gas. Only 19psi too.
basic mods too!
Hp? Nm?
About 400hp. Now makes 415hp after a retune. Unsure of nM.
