Bulgarian here, the Yugoslav regime after WW2 made them believe that they're a separate race. The Ottoman archives in Istanbul list every ethnicity within the borders of the Ottoman region, town to town, village to village. No such thing as a Macedonian ethnic group. It's basically Bulgarians, Greeks, Turks, Vlach Romanians and Albanians who lived in that region in 1944 were enforced by the Communist regime to all document themselves as "Macedonians". Since the Serbs at the time hated Bulgaria, they made up a propaganda how Macedonians are true Slavs, while Bulgarians were Mongol-Tatars. No doubt, the biggest brainwashing in modern history.

Whoever in todays age we must accept that everyone has the right of self determination although in the case of the makedontsis they doing that by undermining the ancient and modern Greek and Bulgarian (respectively) history of the Macedonian area. The issue with this specific "bitter old man" posting his "old, Australian " views is that he is full of hypocrisy and displays lack of human rights and rights to self determination to everyone while claiming them him self.
